to want to know how long a film will stay in cinema

was going to buy an unlimited card to watch my favourite film a few times this month. Cinema can only give showing information one week ahead. (petty but annoying )

It may well not be the cinema's fault. If it is a small independent, they don't have a lot of negotiation power, so don't get to figure out their listings much in advance.

The big chains get much more leeway with the film companies, as they have more screens and can dedicate an entire screen to big releases for two weeks or more.

What film are you going to see several times???

They aren't going to keep showing a film that people stop seeing. They may increase shows of ones that people are continuing to go to.

I can totally see why they would do it.
