He's a great actor, and he made ace Bond. But - Bond is not blonde. Fact.

Roll on Aidan Turner.

If Tom Hardy says no, then I'm willing to settle for Sam Claflin or Theo James.

Aled Jones looks like he runs the local sandwich shop. Apparently he's lining up to be the next big drum'n'bass mc. This is not going to work, I think!

Tom H in the Tardis suit makes a convincing Bond-alike ... but I'm still plugging Davood.

Here he is with clothes on.

Bunny, those two look more like the untrustworthy double agent with a fatal weakness than Bond!

BYOSnowman · 15/02/2016 23:43

Both too young bunny!!

I'm still furiousl that Zen was cancelled though

This. And, to rub salt in the wound, they renewed Luther which was clichéd and a bit shit, despite the lovely Idris.

If only James Frain wasn't just too old (he's probably already been a villian). I would love Ioan Gruffudd or James McAvoy.

ThisIsNotWhatIWasAfter · 15/02/2016 23:55

I wonder what Simon Peggy would do with the role 😂😂😂

Terribleknitter · 15/02/2016 23:59

Something for everyone here..

I have no idea who should be the next Bond, nor do I really care. I'm just here to see Tom Hardy, Sam Claflin and Theo James in the same thread 😍

BreatheandFlyAway · 16/02/2016 00:06

The Zen guy is front runner for me, Colin Firth if we could time travel - what a missed opportunity when they hired irritating, pouty, trying-to-make-it-serious DC. Firth probably said no, mind you. Anyway, Jon Hamm would be my other choice, gutting that he's American and therefore banned by law from playing Bond. Also, David Tennant is just right - twinkle in eye, unflappable, sexy, I love him, phwaor....

gruffaloshmuffalo · 16/02/2016 00:15

I don't get the Idris love. He's just there for me.

His sky on demand advert makes me stabby. He's over whitened his teeth. It's distracting.

ginghamcricketbox · 16/02/2016 00:15

Tom Hardy, McAvoy, Idris all pretending to be.

Zen was fantastic. They used to show it in January / February and Rufus and the Italian bird who wore lovely silk shirts would wander around beautiful palazzos in blazing sun and occasionally shag each other senseless. Who the hell thinks we want to watch bleak Icelandic murder investigations at this time of year when we could be watching Rufus in fetching Milan suiting by the Med?

ginghamcricketbox · 16/02/2016 00:17

By the way Sam Riley is a good shout.

BunnyTyler · 16/02/2016 00:18

But they're so beauuutifuuuul...

Definitely would desperately love to see Tom Hardy as Bond, he's an amazing actor as well as utterly gorgeous.

Ovaries, that Tom Hardy pic was for you! Wink

ValiantMouse · 16/02/2016 00:22

I want to nominate Jensen Ackles.

Yes, he's American but he's fab in action scenes, is a hugely talented actor and can bring the grit that Bond needs.

FixItUpChappie · 16/02/2016 00:23

I liked Daniel Craig's James Bond....certainly the films have been leaps and bounds better than those made since Connery left.

I like that Craig's version is not as campy and cheesy as say, the unwatchable Bronsen ones. whomever they choose, I hope the tone and direction of the most recent films remain.

ThisIsNotWhatIWasAfter · 16/02/2016 00:24

I had no idea there were quite so many handsome British actors. Unfortunately to find out I have completely ruined my search history.

FixItUpChappie · 16/02/2016 00:24

I agree Tom Hardy would be great

CaveMum · 16/02/2016 06:34

I adore Benedict Cumberbatch but can't see him as Bond. He's already said in an interview that he'd much rather be a Bond villain or Bond's rogue brother.

He can very much do rough and thuggish though, watch him in Star Trek Into Darkness, or even better the short film Little Favour. Woof!

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 16/02/2016 07:23

I think Chiwetel would be a great Bond.
Fab voice
Great body.
Could do thug/ cold hearted assassin thing.
Charming lothario as required.

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 16/02/2016 07:25

I'd choke on my avocado toast if Cumberbatch became licenced to kill!

No way in hell can he be considered for 007.

rosebiggs · 16/02/2016 07:40

I read that they turned down Sean Bean for Pierce Brosnan.Fools!

Dowser · 16/02/2016 07:54

I like that Mattias bloke ( Gabriel oak in far from the madding crowd)
