First Grandchild born early hours of this morning, little boy weighing 7lb 4. Mum, Dad and Baby boy doing well, new Granny totally over the moon, (so is Granddad BTW).

Going to be called Linus after my DILs late Father and Peter after my DH .

Going to see him later on.

Did I mention I am so HAPPY and I am CRYING

Big congrats to Oldsu and all other GPs here! We have a new 10 week old GS that I will meet when we return to the UK in a few weeks - am sorry to have missed the very early days.

What a lovely post, has really made me smile this evening. Congrats, OP! Flowers

I know it might sound wrong to some people, but there is something very special about seeing your DNA continuing - the following generations and then babies are so cute and small too. Take lots of photos as they grow so quickly.

Oldsu · 16/02/2016 16:44

DeoGratias the other best thing is seeing your best friends DNA continuing as well, DIL Mum Linus's Nanny is my best friend we have worked together for over 20 years I knew Linus Senior very well.

Congratulations! I love seeing my parents with my 2 year old dd it makes my heart burst with love and pride. My mum is always saying to me "she's just the cutest child in the whole world ever" obviously not even I was as cute to her!!

Congratulations on the birth of Linus Peter Flowers. All the joy and none of the responsibility is what I'm looking forward to when I get to the granny stage I have a while to go with mine
