Not impressed with what ive seen so far.

Several no shows in a row for a gas safety check. Elderly and ill people left without heating for long periods of time.

Just some complaints ive seen on FB. Have any MNers had any work or any checks done by them?

The reason HAs keep using these companies is because they are cheap.

The HA is seen as the customer not the tenant Its a massive hole in consumer law that needs closing.

Which HA is it?

South Staffordshire Housing Association

They used to use e-on (I think) never had an issue till these cowboys took over, a friend of mine used to work for the AA and they used Robert Heath till it led to them being on Watchdog because of all Robert Heaths cowboy ways. She said they had endless complaints including Robert Heath causing an explosion through faulty work.

I'm gonna give the HA a piece of my mind x

you poor lady! I had problems with my heating and it took 2 months and visits from about 8 engineers - appointments not kept -saying they left cards and didn't . I even saw an engineer who came in his van and left I live on7th floor and could not get down to him but he never even got out of his van! so no this lady is not exaggerating, I took this to a stage 2 complaint and eventually it was sorted but not by Robert heath by lovells - it was a fuse!! There are many problems with this company and I was in despair and I NEVER complain but service received was APPALLING,.I feel sympathy for this lady and I am pleased the problem has now been resolved . I can assure you this is only one of many complaints.

The councillor who started the above fb page deals with problems with SS HA as well as RHH i just looked at some of his old tweets.

I'm a pensioner with a serious lung condition living in a cold, draughty HA flat in Brighton. I had no hot water or heating for nearly 3 weeks. Robert Heath heating did not show up 4 times, with no call or text to say they weren't coming. Finally this week they showed up and at least fixed the hot water but still without heating. Today they failed to show up again. Their systems are not working. Apologies don't really compensate for the stress. Surely it is simple to just phone and say you can't make it? I had to complain to the HA to get some action.

""RH conducted my gas safety check last year and falsely completed the legal document stating xyz had been checked. Complained to RH who were very apologetic and would get their quality control officer to call. never happened. In the end I complained to Gas safe who forced RH to come out again and carry out the inspection again. They don't turn up for appointments and it takes a battle to claim the £15 failed appointment with Affinity Sutton. This year they turned up to do the Safety check in a plain white van, plain clothing and no ID card then gets abusive when I refuse entry. I tried to raise a complaint with RH who refused to accept it so I has to go through Affinity Sutton Housing who told me you have to give RH a chance to investigate your complaint. In the end Affinity passed me through to RH who took the complaint of me but no surprise the deadline was yesterday and no response. I have took the decision to refuse RH into the property to do the gas safety check and informed my landlord that anyone else are welcome to do the check""

"" On Wednesday 15th November by boiler stopped working leaving me without heating and hot water. I called Robert Heath explaining what happened and they said that someone would be out in a week to have a look at it. After explaining that I am disabled with an autoimmune disease they said that someone would be out the next day between 12-5. So on the 16/11/17 I had an engineer attend my property at 7pm. He said the pump had gone and someone will be out the next day to fit it.
17/11/17 I spoke to the call centre around 10am. They had no job put in for me and told me that someone would be out next Thursday. I explained again about my disability and autoimmune disease. They said the best they could do was Monday. So, after a freezing cold weekend Monday arrives. I call the call centre to make sure the job is booked in. They said it was and it was between 8-12. I even have a text message confirming this. It gets to 12-30 and no engineer. I call the call centre again. To be told they are calling the engineer to see where he is. I get a call back from A very rude lady called Nicky. She said that an engineer won't be out today and they will rearrange the appointment for Thursday and she put the phone down on me. I called back again. Explained that I was a vulnerable adult with severe health problems. Even more so now due to being in freezing conditions for 5 days. After alot of talking, they said that someone will about between 12-5 today (21/11/17) I call again at 11am just to make sure the job is booked in. I was told it was and everything would be fine. I call again at 4pm saying the engineer is running late. But not to worry as I will get a call if no one will show. It gets to 5.45.... I call again... I'm on hold for half an hour. I get through to a man called mark. He explains to me that the engineer had put it down as a missed appointment as he knocked and no one answered?! He apparently knocked at 6pm. I was on hold to the company while he 'supposedly' knocked. No one knocked at my door. No card was posted through my door. I have been looking out my window all day. I was looking out the window the whole time I was in hold to the company. No one came. Mark said he would call the engineer. The engineer didn't answer (they never do) he left a voicemail. I asked him to ask the engineer what my front garden looked like. If he was here then he would know. I heard nothing back. I called an hour later and got through to a lady called Rose. I explained things to her. She asked Mark if he had heard anything. I was told that the engineer won't come to me as he only works until 5pm. If that's the case then how did he supposedly knock at my door at 6pm??
Rose apologised and said that she would book another appointment 12-5 tomorrow. I can honestly say I have no faith in this what so ever. I have been treated disgustingly by your company. This has had a massive impact on my health. And it's not just my health. I have 3 children. 2 of them missed school today due to them being poorly because of the living conditions. I will be taking this complaint as high as it will go. I am disgusted that this is the way you treat your most vulnerable people that rely on your services.""
