I need a new one and have no idea where to get a decent one from, I bought a nasty one from Dunelm, out of desperation, but it went back.

My criteria are:

Square or rectangular
Lidded
White, grey or pale blue
Not plastic
Lined wicker would be ok
Not pop-up
Decent size - doesn't need to hold towels or bedding as they get taken straight to the machine

I have looked online at John Lewis, M and S, eBay, Amazon. Can't see anything.
Help!!!

Ours is similar to this.

WhereYouLeftIt · 09/02/2016 22:22

Next.co.uk has a few that might fit your criteria.

You can use the Argos one as a seat too.

Grilledaubergines · 09/02/2016 23:02

Mine is an old wooden trunk which I've lined with pond liner type stuff to keep inside dry. You could look for something not traditionally laundry basket-like and paint as you want. Mine doubles up as a seat for chatting to the person in the bath!

You need one like mine from Lakeland and they are currently half price. Several sizes.

Ah except it's plastic! Looks good though.

I have had this one for years. I love it, mainly for the fact the colours are already separated when I go to do the washing Smile

I want a rabbit and I will buy a basket like that for him! In years to come your basket, KJ, will be unearthed and folk will see it as an ax ample of early 21st century something or other!
It is not a laundry basket, I need a washing basket for dirty stuff to be put into upstairs so that when there is enough to wash it can be taken down to the washing machine. I am not picky Grin , but it needs to fit into a particular space and I want it to match the room it is in.
I spotted a very pretty white wicker one on Facebook yesterday but it has gone.
I'm not going to get what I want am I?
Thank you for your contributions, I appreciate it.

I use ikea bags. Not pretty, but I have a few under the bed so they're always ready to grab a load out ofthe (stylish) laundry basket

We have a couple of these. Simple, linen bag over folding metal frame, has lid/flap. The bag gets washed every now and then too.

They hold a decent amount too. DHs winter work wear is quite hefty and I have been known to sort it through then just throw the bag down the stairs Smile They fold really flat, get slid behind a wardrobe when we have visitors.

They have lasted for 10 years and counting.

I've got a Lloyd loom laundry basket (second hand off eBay) and it's fab - sturdier than wicker which means you can shove loads in despite the fact it's compact. And it's easy on the eye. Highly recommend!

Hi op I got a triple hamper with dark lights and colours on the front I love it it's on wheels as well, I got it from Tesco was only 20 quid

FeliciaJollygoodfellow · 10/02/2016 10:24

I got the white wicker one from Zara. It's nice.

Oldraver · 10/02/2016 13:13

I have one form Next similar to the Joh Lewis blue stripe..its made of a loose weave fabric. I have already sent one back as it arrived with the joined edge pulled apart and wasn't long before the new one was the same. Not sure if the JL one is better made...it seems to be fault with how th top is joined to the side

TK Maxx is your friend

MyCatIsTryingToKillMe · 10/02/2016 13:54

Here's mine, it brilliant but for the life of me I can't remember where it's from. The inside bits lift out for ease of transferring washing downstairs.
