Haven't name changed, probably should have given huge backstory...however, tell me I am unreasonable? My ex-h turned up today with a private plate on his new Audi displaying his, OW's, her son's and our son's initials. He pays less than £4 a day in maintenance as he pleaded poverty and only last week refused to pay £14 for two new school jumpers for our DS. He is an utter cunt, isn't he?

If you've recently separated and you're under the new CM scheme her earnings won't be taken into account. It'll only be based on his taxable earnings. I expect there are online calculators you can use to check.

I had one of these. Ex-story. He once gave me fifteen pounds as a guilt offering because he'd sold a house he tricked me out of in the divorce settlement and made money on it. Then, he brought the £4000 (in the 1980s) engagement ring he'd bought for the OW, to show me and my daughter before he gave it to her. He was paying £220 a month maintenance at the time.

I have come back to this and to all of you lovelies and your posts. To those who have shared similarly awful stories , how vile some can be. I would particularly like to thank Pombear for the offer of buying DS's school jumpers, what a very lovely offer, I am so grateful for your kindness. It wasn't a case that I couldn't afford them, it was simply that I had replaced all of DS's uniform and I thought he could make a contribution to that, but no, apparently not. The kindness of MN'ers frequently leaves me speechless, so thank you .

I actually don't give a toss about the plate, what upset me (and it's ridiculous really) was that, as with everything, my DS was last in the line of letters and he literally comes at the bottom of the pile as far as my ex-h is concerned. Also, the impression of a "family set up" that includes my DS. It doesn't. My ex sees him for the grand total of 9 hours per week. I do not allow overnights for very very many reasons and I know that ex and OW have absolutely no clue as to the huge emotional damage they have inflicted on my little boy, neither do they give a shit. They are utterly awful people and they have no idea that they are viewed with derision by so many around them. I have been shocked as to the extent of that. I imagine having to keep up the lies you have told day in and day out must be immensely stressful. OW has fed my ex to the point of health-threatening obesity, he is an absolute mess. Sad really, stupid man.

I will deal with his lack of financial support via the proper channels. I still can't come to terms with the fact that despite claiming our DS is his "world", he does nothing and I mean nothing for him in any way whatsoever, let alone financially. He should never have been a father, he will always be a cheat and is a total failure really. I am so glad to be shot of him.

The thought that he includes DS as part of 'their little family' via his vulgar little plate is truly appalling. Actually makes me ill. How very dare him give any type of impression that they are some fucking tight little family! It's disgusting!

But as with most things, actions are speaking louder than words! Because the people who matter are seeing his flashy car with it's vanity plates and saying sarcastically "Gee, funny, but we never actually see DS in that car, do we? What a 'great dad', NOT". Truth always prevails. Even if we don't see the effects of it, it always prevails.

I find it quite unbelievable that given the trail of stepchildren this twat has left behind, including my DD, he is willing to give the "current" one a place on plate before his own DS. I imagine OW is behind it. Everybody knows what they've done to me, including now people known to both of them. I know exactly how well this will be received given his wholesale neglect of DS. honestly, MrsC, I've never seen the point of personalised Number Plates, other than to display your vulgarity and cockiness. More money than sense, my mum would say. A friend's DH once bought one for his DW, her initials and year of birth, I think. I earned his undying hatred when I said 'it looks like an S-Reg'. (was a brand new car! )
