hello!
I absolutely CAN sleep but as the single parent of a 2 month old, the only chance I have to sort out all this other stuff in my life that most other people don't have to sort, is to stay up after she's gone to sleep. In some ways i'm lucky and in some ways i'm not, ha ha!
Tonight she went to sleep late so here I am with a fresh coffee and just enough willpower to keep going for a bit longer.
I hope to get some company on this thread to keep me going and in return i'm sending you all Flowers

Cannot sleep either, was the victim of a horrible verbal assault and threats by a complete stranger who I can only think mistook me for someone else but would not accept that on Friday and still a bit shook up by it all. (Suffer from anxiety anyway) The kids were with me at the time and also threatened and it was on the only route to school so dreading tomorrow and the kids are worked up. :(

Can't sleep either. My 19 year old DD told me tonight that she has agreed to go back out with her XBF who treated her so badly last year that she ended up on anti-depressents. I knew something has been up with her the last couple of days and she was plucking up the courage to tell me as she knew I wouldn't approve but wanted my blessing.

At 19, I can't stop her seeing him but I detest the guy so much for what he put her through. That bombshell, coupled with news from my D GodD today that she if moving away is keeping me wide awake. I need to be up at 6.30 for work too.

pinan, I think you can probably report that to the police and they might even be willing to have PCSO escort you tomo

I wish I saw this last night.

I'm a totally crap sleeper anyway but last night was bad. The wind kept waking me and I seem to have tonsillitis for the second time in 3 weeks so woke about 4 feeling so rough. Dh offered to get the dc up and to school so I stayed in bed until 8 then rung Dr's to get an app later. I'm now lying in bed with all my clothes on and every single light on in the house feeling crap!

My problem is, and I don't know if anyone else is like this, I don't relax or switch off all day leading into the late nights. It's definitely impacting my health. So I've made an agreement with myself. Dc are on half term next week so this week I'm going to chill the fuck out and get lots of early nights. Dh works long hours plus 5 nights a week and I have 2 dc in school all day but they are 4 years old so can be tiring and like to wake very early. Aside from those demands I reckon anything else can wait.I need rest!

I have a lot of sympathy with those of babies awake at night, they were the hardest times of my life. It gets better guys!

minesapintofwine · 08/02/2016 09:18

pinan definitely report it that sounds awful. I would be demanding they apologise but wouldn't advise that as it's unlikely anyway. How did you get on today?

cozietoesie · 08/02/2016 09:18

If I can't sleep, it's usually to do with my iron levels - just saying and not recommending.

PinanNidan · 08/02/2016 11:41

Have reported but no idea who he was and no cctv in that area so nothing can be done.

My Dad ended up driving four miles to ours to take them as they were scared. bastard

I am tired

I have a beautiful DS that sleeps

I have a comfy warm bed to myself (lone parent & happy)

I have a clean & tidy house

What the ACTUAL fuck is wrong with me that I simply cannot sleep .....
