in thinking that just because you have been on mn for ever

that doesn't make you a bad person.
MN for as long as I have been on here has had a oldie v newbie thing going
who really cares. some people post a lot, some don't.
but if you do post a lot (cos like me you might be stuck in a shite carer role) and you make "friends" with people on mn....you get slated.
all this royalty/oldie stuff is a yawn feast.... but in the 10 years I have been one here.....it still goes on.
isn't it time we all moved on?

Liac I could list about two dozen threads where I was bullied and received lots of PAs from certain posters. Some threads were deleted most weren't. But I won't because it would immediately out me.

Wombatinabathhat · 01/02/2016 19:50

You often make me smile when I read your posts Sparkling Wink

Helen, couldn't you have contacted bumbley off the board?
Is a PA a personal attack?

Owllady · 01/02/2016 19:53

I'm glad it not just me that thought that Tough, I'm a bit shocked by it tbh.

HoneyDragon · 01/02/2016 19:55

Helen.

Help and old confused dragon out here. If you deleted a thread for bullying and stated that you'd deal with the perpetrators as par for the course?

Bumbley. I don't do hints and vagaries. Sorry, I'm still non the wiser.

You may have misread the thread.

I was most annoyed to find multiple deletions of my posts and another members posts deleted for breaking talk guidelines.

I got a lovely email from her in charge very kindly explaining why I had been mixed. Clarifying I had not actually breached talk guidelines at all.

The important thing is I know I wasn't, MNHQ know I wasn't. You could read the thread and think I might have been, but the fact I'm still here indicates I obviously wasn't ban hammered, sin binned or even mildly eyebrowed.

Lilac, I have reported within the last 6 months - I just haven't emailed MNHQ about anything.

Also, I haven't said there are 'bullies everywhere'. I said upthread that there are only a few people who act like that. I'm not sure why you have a problem with me disagreeing with you. I happen to have seen/experienced bullying (as others on this thread have done) so of course we will agree that it happens if someone mentions it on a thread.
I'm not sure how we're supposed to know from the outset if someone is a PBP or trying to stir up trouble. I think I posted once or twice near the start of that weekend thread and didn't see it kick off.

LilacSpunkMonkey · 01/02/2016 19:57

I'm the one who'said taken issue with Bumbley.

I fail to see how that's a 'pile-on'.

And I've been perfectly civil to her.

I think MNHQ have the right to reply if it's been strongly insinuated they are allowing bullying to go on .... They've only asked for procate correspondence.

I gather from this thread that Bumbleys mentioned it on board a lot. Now it can be dealt with.

I did a SIOB, but you know what, maybe it's about time that MNHQ got a bit 'harsher' with posters that seem to have an axe to grind. If they say BM hasn't reported since Jul, then it does seem a little 'off' to me that she continues to accuse posters (and that will be the 'regular' or 'royalty' posters, make no mistake) of bullying.

This weekend was a troll/PBP free-for-all and I'll bet MNHQ have had a fucking gutsfull of it, I know I have.

Christinayangstwistedsista · 01/02/2016 20:19

I don't know if i can cope with this working malarkey, means I am having to RTFT each night...very exhausting

Been here about 3 years and have met some lovely oldies, newbies and middlies and a few eejits along the way.....don't have the imagination n to name change....

Owllady · 01/02/2016 20:20

I've actually worked out what SIOB means without asking Blush:o
