Drying net curtains

Ok, a rather trivial AIBU, but important nonetheless.

Bit grey and cloudy here at the moment, but was sunny earlier in the , pretty windy.

Neighbours have put out their net curtains to dry (I assume they've been washed, not just airing them).

AIBU to think when nets have been washed you just put them back up at the windows and they dry pretty quickly? Why bother with putting them on the line? What a waste of time. (Although not as bad as other neighbour, who doesn't have a laundry basket and simply slings all clean washing on the garden path then hangs it up.....gives me the rage).

If not, I agree. They might as well just stick them back in the windows.

It depends, if it's windy I would peg them out so they get the fresh smell of drying outdoors. If not, I would hang them back up.
I have a neighbour who lays washing on her garden path and paio area and leaves it there to dry! She has dogs, so I don't imagine her path or patio are particularly clean. It always puzzles me why she does it!

Perhaps they hand washed them or put them on a no spin cycle as they can be delicate - and they are drip drying?

Perhaps they're trying to minimise damp and condensation orare de moulding, deep cleaning the windows and sills at the same time and want to put them somewhere out the way where they wont get creased.

Perhaps they just love the freshness of line dried stuff.

I would dry them by sticking them in a bucket and setting fire to them. Apart from those hideous vertical blinds, they are the ugliest thing one could hang in a window

Maybe the people who are throwing their washing on the path (wtf ) are like my neighbour who hoses down and sweeps all her outside paths daily and has a doormat at the entrance to her property so her garden is probably cleaner than my house .

Agree however that net curtains (or voiles that we have) can just be hung up straight out of the washer.

I have no opinion on the net curtain debate but throwing washing on the path??

Slightly off topic but I do hate it when people refer to curtains/ blinds etc as window treatments.

I put mine straight back up but they are loosley woven and have a house that doesn't get too damp.

I do quite often put stuff outside like sheets even when I know they wont dry to get a nice smell...maybe thye are doing that
