verrucas

Son has dance lessons at high school (year 7) it's bare feet only and he's broken out in a foot full of verrucas!
He said the room stinks of sweat and the floor is not sanitised between lessons.
Today I wrote a note asking for him to keep his socks on until further notice so I can get the treated and find an alternative to keep his feet covered, either by grip socks or some kind of pumps.
The teacher refused and made him do it bare foot anyway!

AIBU to be furious?

WonderingAspie, thats the Salactol. Dd got it a few years back from the doctor but I asked pharmacist to see if I could buy it otc to save faffing on with doctors appointments.

dontopen, ours is called Occlusal, could NOT remember the bloody name last night! Probably the same stuff though.

Did work on DS's verrucas, eventually. The wart is another matter though, been at it for about 9 months and it's still there. Not impressed about another verruca appearing and having to go through all that faff again.

But then again, we used bazuka on DD, with filing even though it was flat, and it worked for her so I guess it's different for different people.

I've had verrucas my entire life. Only time I was free was a year when I lived in a desert country (very sterile environment). I certainly haven't built up immunity. When I was a kid I sometimes got them frozen off but apparently they are now classed as a "cosmetic" issue and that treatment isn't available on the NHS. Poor DD has a horrible wart sticking off the end of one toe which is very uncomfortable and unsightly but beyond prescribing Salactol the GP won't do anything.

Interesting. My one with the black middle has turned into two white scaly things with lots of dry skin around them. Filing and Bazuka advised by nurse at gps made no difference. I caught it from Dd, hers has gone. Will give Salactol a go.
