oops, was going to say I had a driving instructor like this - sloppy timekeeping, sloppy learning, needed to get petrol/loo/drink during EVERY lesson. They were literally dragging it out to make more money (I only realised this when I got another instructor.)

she may have offered you the discount knowing it is never a full hour. not on to not be up front with you though.

at the end of the day you have to decide is 50 minutes worth £20 between 2. That is a pretty incredible rate for a private lesson. but if she isn't great, then not.

That's not on. I teach privately. If i'm five minutes or so late i let my client know asap and overrun if it's convenient for them, or give them that extra time next session. If it's more than 5 minutes, i give them the session free. You're paying private rates for your convenience, not hers! I think the £15 for 45 minutes is the best option for you guys.
