And what it would be like if it did?

Who is Dave Gorman?
Why would he look for poems on MN?
Does he write poems?
Lots of MNers do. There were some good ones recently about vulvas.

SuffolkNWhat · 27/01/2016 09:58

I don't think so, he tends to look at comments under news articles (DM especially)

TheoriginalLEM · 27/01/2016 10:00

I shall try - from the pyjama thread....

God it's so tacky. My children would be mortified if I rocked up in pyjamas.
Just laziness - what example are they showing their kids?
It's an attitude, not a lifestyle. It's ghastly. There is no excuse
Yeah! Have a wash and get dressed fgs!

Wear what the hell you like, I say
It's not up to the school to tell parents what to wear
Really cannot be arsed to care about what others wear
People used to do it where I lived in Glasgow, I've never seen it here in London.

Timely, he is a comedian, very funny and very clever and his "found poems" where he takes comments from the internet, as suffolk said, from under news articles and makes a poem from it. Like

Suffolk - yes, its a bit lazy really isn't it - the DM make it so easy for him!

I wondered if he might discover mn now he's a father, I think he'd have a field day! I love DG!

TheoriginalLEM · 27/01/2016 10:29

Maybe MNHQ should invite him for a webchat....

I love his found poems Smile

AdriftOnMemoryBliss · 27/01/2016 10:36

his found poems are brilliant.

Dh & I are huge fans, i'm normally dying of laughter by the end of them.

TooMuchOfEverything · 27/01/2016 10:38

I love Dave Gorman. DS loves him too, sometimes I let him stay up far too late and watch.

TooMuchOfEverything · 27/01/2016 10:38

PS.

ALL FREIGHT ON THE CANALS

BarbaraofSeville · 27/01/2016 10:46

His Found Poems are brilliant and he so could use MN as a source.

LEMs example about the pyjamas is spot on.

He often mentions his DW in performances and she sounds like she could be a Mumsnetter.

Darvany · 27/01/2016 10:51

I'm going to send him some of GabbyLoggon's posts.

lostInTheWash · 27/01/2016 10:59

He has.

Pretty sure the sat nav one was a thread from here. The one about the children party and asking for specific presents - where no real child would ask for a desk was from a thread on here.

There was a thread I was on about celebrities and father of the year award - and it got silly and I put forward some silly comments on bananas under another name - only be sat watching TV to see a found poem along those line with my banana comments in Smile.

I think the american flag discussion was from a thread on here too - though that wasn't a found poem.

I really like Modern Life is goodish.

ratspeaker · 27/01/2016 12:11

I could hear the Billroth String Quartet as I read your found poem there OP.

Are you wearing a checked shirt today?

TheoriginalLEM · 27/01/2016 12:41

I am absolutely sure that Mrs Gorman is a Mumsnetter, she sounds like a smart, funny woman, she'll fit right in.

FlopIsMyParentingGuru · 27/01/2016 12:49

I love the found poems. Absolutely inspired.

TheoriginalLEM · 27/01/2016 12:50

One of the confessions on radio two was from here. Brenda and Roy, except the names were changed. It was exactly the weird Christmas card round robins that mnetters send to other mnetters families. I was so disappointed someone had copied it!
