OP posts:
user7755 · 16/01/2016 15:35

YANBU I'd still be wearing mine if I hadn't had to go to the shop. Damn those kids, needing feeding!

florenceandermintrude · 16/01/2016 15:35

Flumps Grin

OH away for the night so just the cat and I - the flumps will be going on soon - but only of my new (very, very warm and comfy) onsie counts as flumps.

MummyPig24 · 16/01/2016 15:38

I got home at 1pm, I put my pj trousers on pretty much immediately. I was cold and jeans were muddy from the park.

Drquin · 16/01/2016 15:40

Mine have been on - clean on - for four hours ...... Have opened the door to neighbour who was helping with DIY thing, and I actually pre-planned his arrival and had a pair of jeans lying on the stairs to jump into if doorbell rang ...... And forgot about them in my rush to answer the door!

Also forgot them again when LibDem campaigner rang door bell. Had a pleasant chat about council tax and government spending priorities without her appearing to notice my casual dress!

TuckingFablet · 16/01/2016 15:41

YADNBU

I want to put mine on, but I also want to go to the shop when dp gets home at half 6. So I compromised and changed into jogging bottoms and a massive jumper. As comfy as pjs, but I can still go to the corner shop in then Grin

Judydreamsofhorses · 16/01/2016 15:42

Still in mine, but will be having a shower and getting dressed to go to the cinema soon. Last weekend DP was away and I spent the whole weekend in pyjamas or reading in the bath.

PurpleHairAndPearls · 16/01/2016 15:45

Never U to wear flumps (I am stealing that) unless it is in public Smile

I'm not very well so DH helped me to shower and washed my hair (painful but blissful at the same time) then I put on my very favourite cotton long sleeved ankle length nightie and got back into bed all propped up to watch the snow. The only thing that could increase my snuggle level would be the cat lying on top of me but the ungrateful bastard has fucked off to DS's bed

DDs still in their PJs ...I'm in my 'scruffs' (sloppy joggers and sweatshirt)
We did have a day trip planned that involved driving 50 miles, catching a bus then walking around mainly outside, catching bus back etc.
We looked at the frost outside and the forecast - don't think it is due to get above freezing today - decided that it could wait till next weekend (when the forecast is 5 degrees or something)
(And teen dd doesn't even own a coat - when we are near/in shops she says she doesn't need one, won't even try one on - then occasionally (when there is no way of getting her one) whinges she is cold and maybe does need a coat Confused - I can imagine today would be one of those occasions and I'm not in the mood for it...)

Mybunnyisamummy · 16/01/2016 15:54

I'm in mine but I'm recovering from surgery so I think I'm entitled to hehe 🤕

ADishBestEatenCold · 16/01/2016 15:59

I expect you have put them on by now, OP, and are probably snuggled up in front of the fire!

I've till got to do evening stables, which I definitely don't want to do in my PJs.

GingerNutRiskIt · 16/01/2016 16:02

I don't own any nightwear, so I'm dressed, but I love nothing more than wearing my yoga pants and a vest top.

RumBabaPudding · 16/01/2016 16:04

Sometimes I put mine on when I get in from work at 1pm. Grin

Well It seems a waste to change from work clothes to daywear to PJ's. May as well cut out the middle man!!!!!!

NotOneIota · 16/01/2016 16:05

Am very happy to have brought the term 'flumps' to the attention of MN Grin

SomebodySedateMe · 16/01/2016 16:07

jam congratulations! I'm 35 weeks too and also still in my pjs. I own very few things that fit my lovely egg like physique at the moment.

Unfortunately I need to pop out for milk so I'm going to have to winch myself into my maternity jeans shortly.

sidsgranny · 16/01/2016 16:16

Just had a lovely bath and have put mine on. Just about to pour a glass of wine too - well it is Saturday!

florentina1 · 16/01/2016 16:33

Just finished a Decluttering and found some lovely,,snugly paw print pjs at the back of the drawer. OH just off out, and I am MNetting in my pjs. Bliss.

OvO · 16/01/2016 16:40

Ive been in mine all day. Which saved time when I had an afternoon nap. Though I'm not sure if 2 hours is a nap or just a sleep?! Grin

NinaSimoneful · 16/01/2016 16:51

Pyjama Day is one of life's greatest little pleasures. Along with chocolate and fresh bedclothes. FWIW my pjs went on early today too.

DD is ill and got sick on me earlier.Sad

GreenShadow · 16/01/2016 16:52

Much as I love my pyjamas, I only wear them in bed as otherwise I'd get too cold. I'm currently wearing a sweatshirt, longsleeve t-shirt and vest plus jeans - pyjamas would be nowhere near this warm.

So what do you lot who live in PJs do to stay warm - over-heat the house or add extra layers? Or don't you feel the cold?

DurhamDurham · 16/01/2016 16:57

I put my pj's on as soon as I get home from work everyday. If I'm going out later and have to stay dressed I feel uncomfortable and cold (all in my head, I know). When I put my pj's and dressing gown on I feel relaxed and happy straight away. It's good to know I'm not alone.

With regards to staying warm, I've always got my fleecy dressing gown in too and my cosy slippers so I'm warmer in these than my clothes.

Mermaid36 · 16/01/2016 16:57

I haven't got out of my pj's today at all....I'm pregnant and have a shocking chest and sinus infection at the moment, so the only times I've even got out of bed today have been for toilet trips or to reboil the kettle so I can do more steam inhalations....

My house isn't particularly cold, but I do have a big fluffy dressing gown for mooching in, plus we have blankets on the sofas, as I like to be covered up all the time

OvO · 16/01/2016 17:25

I wear a cardi on top of my pjs to keep warm.

I have a cuddle sofa which is for me only. I basically make a nest of cushions and blankets and stay all snuggly and warm. Grin

DoreenLethal · 16/01/2016 17:27

Mine would have been on lunchtime if I hadn't been planning on going for a run - I am off in around 3 mins...

dudsville · 16/01/2016 17:31

Basically pj's are the best thing ever and would be capable of bringing peace to the world if people would only persevere. So long as you're home and do not have company you may pajama. Of note, over night guests are exempt from this rule. They are allowed to see your best pj's after dinner.
