If it is OP, I wouldn't blame her for not coming back to the thread, some of the comments are awful.

It's not a style of makeup I would choose for myself but it's obviously been applied with some skill and care. The eye make up is fab! I think it's definitely C :).

SirChenjin · 17/01/2016 19:29

Agree flip. Some of the comments on here about a young woman have not reflected well on the posters at all.

RudeElf · 17/01/2016 19:31

I was wondering if OP's friend did it. OP isnt impressed and wants a bit of confirmation that she is right in feeling that way. Could be OP's own work although i cannot imagine why, unless drunk, any regular MNer would set themselves up for the "honesty" of Mners! Brave woman if its your own work.

ThomasRichard · 17/01/2016 19:33

I have no idea but it looks better than anything I could do myself.

iciclewinter · 17/01/2016 20:33

I like the colours but I think it could do with a bit more blending to soften the harder edges. I'd go for a slightly lighter lip colour too, and maybe something to make the skin a little less shiny.

SoupDragon · 17/01/2016 22:48

What young woman? I have no idea whether the OP is young or a woman.

They invited opinions and if you can not deal with negative ones as well as positive, you shouldn't ask. Was everyone meant to say "wow Hun thats gorguss"?

Come on Op. Where in the name of the Sweet Lord are you. I'm really anxious to know the answer. I know I shouldn't be that bored, granted, but. I actually am, and so must you have been to start a seemingly pointless thread and then vanish. Have you been abducted by ailens or something. Grin

AnnaBanana11 · 18/01/2016 07:37

Hey op,

Bypass some of these nasty comments and come and join a great beauty group over on FB - MrsGloss&TheGoss ... You'll receive constructive and KIND comments

LoadsaBlusher · 18/01/2016 08:32

B - a noob ( I assume by this you mean "newbie"? )

The lashes are not well applied and the blending of the eyeshadow is not quite there. The gold to grey is too contrasting.

I do like the style and think with more practice /blending it could be a lovely look .

ophiotaurus · 18/01/2016 08:47

As a trained makeup artist and beauty therapist with 20 years in the industry I have to say it annoyse immensely that people can call themselves makeup artists after attending a days course...

If this is the work of a 'makeup artist' then I'm guessing she has just completed a one day course and is over the moon with her new found talent Grin

However she has stuck the eyelashes way, way above the lash line so they will probably fall off before the end of the night leaving them say on the cheekbones.

Meh...

diddl · 20/01/2016 09:35

OP not been back?

firesidechat · 20/01/2016 09:41

I think we've hurt her feelings.

3luckystars · 20/01/2016 09:47

Well she looks far better than me, that's all I can say about it.

mrsjskelton · 20/01/2016 10:02

I think C or D - lots of talented amateurs are posting some incredible looks on Instagram so it's very hard to determine who is actually "trained" at an institution! I think that if a client had asked for this kind of look then it looks to me like a makeup artist could have applied it to their liking! I think the eyes are very nicely done with good application of lashes - there just needs to be a liquid liner to blend in the corner of the false lash!

Barbie1 · 20/01/2016 11:45

A good makeup artist

A, wouldn't use those lashes as they clearly wouldn't fit

B, wouldn't need to blend the lash line with liner

And c, wouldn't stick them so high on the eyelid Shock

TheCatsMeow · 20/01/2016 12:07

The lashes are what lets it down apart from those it's good IMO.
