It has deeply affected many people.

I'm just really taken aback at how I feel. But perhaps it's not so surprising. I remember my lovely gran being shocked to the core at the poster of Ziggy on my bedroom wall in 1973, and the only time I was sent home from school was for turning up made up as Aladdin Sane ...

I think its really sad and I'm not even a big fan (although I think I may be from now on)
He was amazing with all those different talents but also seemed like a genuinely nice person.
