AIBU to be annoyed at emails addressed to Sir

I monitor a mailbox in work that's used to deal with enquiries from the general public.

Quite a few emails are addressed Dear sir or dear sirs and it bugs me every time!

It happens so often. Does anyone else get this and does it annoy you, or AIBU?

I agree with you mshomefries- I think "Dear Sirs" is rude, lazy and offensive

I work for a very small company with 5 female staff members. It really irks me when I get job applications starting "Dear Sir". For such a small company, it's really easy to find out who is the recipient of the email so it shows piss-poor attention to detail!
