To be worried about this arm and breast pain....

I've had pain in my left breast now for about four weeks. It is a dull ache that spreads from under my left armpit into the back of my left breast and present most the time. There is no lump, visual signs, etc. Pain not linked to my cycle either.
I'm going to go to doctors tomorrow but worried they'll just think I time wasting as nothing to see.
Also worried I'm being over anxious as three friends diagnosed with breast cancer in last year, all between 30 and 45. I'm 33, otherwise healthy.

YANBU at all. Better to get it checked out. Hope everything is fine - maybe you have just bruised yourself? Given the situation with your friends, it's understandable that you are worried though. You are definitely not wasting the doctor's time x

Get it checked for sure but I have had similar pain before (sore boob/under-arm). I had it a lot in my late teens early 20s and got in a right tizzy and convinced myself I was dying (but never went to Doctor, idiot!). That was nearly 20 years ago and I am still here . I have had it more recently and got it checked out and it was nothing.

Obviously you should get checked but don't panic.

Are you sleeping awkwardly, new car that the driving position is different, new desk at work?

I had similar to this, and it turned out to be chest wall pain from muscle discomfort that was radiating through my breast and making me panic.

IME the Dr will take you seriously, I went to the GP with mine and they were very kind and understanding.

I had very similar and the doctor showed me the muscle she thought it was on a big diagram. It took ages to go away but it did in the end.

Do go to your doctor, but be reassured that breast pain is a very, very unusual presentation of breast cancer. It isn't time wasting, but I hope it is reassuring for you once they've had a proper look at you.

the Dr will take you seriously - you should always seek an appointment for the type of pain you describe. If nothing else it will put your mind at rest - if it is more you will get seen soon

Dh did remind me that for the same period of time my tendons in the hand, wrist and lower arm have been tingling and hurting sporadically, I hadn't put those two together, so may be I have just pulled seething. Thank you for support.

definitely get it checked out as others have said. but breast pain is common and rarely a sign of breast cancer, its good there are no lumps or other changes

Could be hormonal, not always linked to cycle.

I had same. Got mammogram, was fine and told probably hormones. Good to seek reassurance though x

You are right to get it checked out because it will put your mind at rest and if it happens again you will be able to deal with it better. Had this several times over my life and was advised by a breast specialist to take starflower oil, which I do daily.

Have a google at referred neck pain.

I damaged a nerve in my neck and my symptoms were pain behind my shoulder blade, down my arm and into my hand.

The referred pain you feel relates to the area of nerve damage in your neck.

I have been having physio and that's helped a lot.

I had pain similar to what you describe from silent reflux! A course of omeprazole sorted it out.
