To be put off a thread if the opening post is really really long

I've just clicked into several threads and clicked out again when I saw really long opening posts starting with lots of back information.

I know people don't want to be accused of drip feeding, but AIBU to not want to wade through loads of tedious information and 'he said' 'she said' stuff to get to the main point of an AIBU?

Grunt I watched the clip again four times after reading your post and laughed and nodded my head in agreement in equal measure. I love that woman and how bloody fantastically rich the English language is and how it is used to such great effect across the world.

You watched it four times?

You know what I'm dying to say to that, don't you? Wink

I do. But it's 2 minutes I was prepared to sacrifice. Lets face it, I have spent many many other four minutes today doing thgings a lot less amusing!
