I don't know, it's all a mess...

I have been struggling with money since my ex left.

It's just me, ds (12), dd (2) and the cat.

The cat doesn't need much, he lives outside.

Dd can't eat wheat, so her food can be expensive. I try to cook most things from ingredients, but there are some nights when we have to rush, so it will be fish fingers.

But I am behind on some bills. My water bill is £90 a month. This is ridiculous! I don't have an evian factory or anything! Apparently it's because I have a Cheshire postcode

No idea about gaz and leccy... Still waiting for landlord to fix garage door to access the meter.

I have been paying something for water every month. Not as much as they want, but something. I have been asking for a way to pay gas/leccy too, but they haven't sent a plastic card like the water did.

Anyway, got a nasty letter from the water, demanding £800 in the next few days. I have £22 to last until Friday. No petrol in the car (hope ds doesn't have an emergency at school...)

Who can I ask for help? Not mumsnet... CAB? Could they do anything? A charity?

I am already in the bottom of my overdraft (expensive tooth repair, not Xmas excess)

My parents don't have that much money laying around.

I just don't want to be here, with dcs, if/when bad people come banging on my door.

Ds has a pay and go mobile for emergencies. I could call an ambulance as there would be no fighting or accusations.

Landlord has finally agreed to fix garage door. No idea of timescale.

I have been paying £20-30 a month for water.

I keep writing to power people for a paying card, but they haven't replied. A lot.

Dd can only get the mobility part of dla when she turns 3. We applied before, but don't qualify.

I don't think there are old debts, we have lived here for about 9 years.

As for the ex... He gave me £20 once. When I drove the dcs somewhere for them to see him for an afternoon out. In 4 years...

Ds has a wheat allergy. Not coeliac thing, so can't get prescription food.

I will try CAP again, even though they said there was nothing in my area.

And get onto the CSA and get your Ex to pay for his kids.
They will sort it for you.
