for putting super glue onto the seat of a DISABLED toilet??!

Read the story earlier, apparently the two teens are aged 16-18, and some poor 4yo girl went in after them and had the skin ripped from the back of her legs!
No doubt these two little twats will get a lecture and a wrist slap.

What is it with this place lately?!

Absolute horror at a persons actions then results in MNers saying that they would do worse to the perpetrators!

The thread about Peter Connelly's mother was deleted because of just this kind of thing.

I think that what those two young women did was disgusting, disgraceful and should be punished. I also think that they should be named so that their crime follows them, but they probably wont be due to their apparent age.

However, I do not think that giving them a battering/kicking etc will teach them anything at all other than to hit back harder.

I say this as the mother of a disabled young man. Dont think that you are doing him any favours by suggesting violence as an acceptable reaction, you really are not.

fidel1ne · 05/01/2016 03:33

Couldn't agree more Bogey. It's like an invasion of thuggish vulgarians.

Bogeyface · 05/01/2016 03:33

A good battering never did me any harm, and went a long way to teaching me right from wrong.

Clearly.

It taught you that the best way to deal with people like this is to kick the shit out of them Hmm

MidniteScribbler · 05/01/2016 03:44

I think what worries me most is just how thick some of these kids are. CCTV is EVERYWHERE these days. It only takes social media a few minutes to identify these idiots. They've grown up around technology, how can they still think they're going to get away with it?

CheerfulYank · 05/01/2016 03:45

Poor little girl :(

I don't get the whole "shouldn't have been in the disabled toilet" thing. Everyone in America uses the accessible toilets, it's not a thing at all Confused

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 05/01/2016 05:14

What a horrible thing to do.

Hopefully the will be punished according to the law.

Hope the wee girl forgets about it soon

I agree it's not the place to debate the use of disabled toilets.

Although people who buy radar Keys merely because they find the disabled toilet handy are the ultimate in entitled and selfish.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 05/01/2016 05:16

And yes what bogey said.

People who are advocating violence on this thread sound somewhat err..unevolved.

differentnameforthis · 05/01/2016 06:21

The threats of violence thrown around are stupid, as are those throwing them.

Recently in Australia 2 guys have been arrested for thumping (just once) another lad who died as a result of being knocked to the ground & hitting his head.

They have been outed on social media, with threats to "fucking kill" them, with people threatening other commenters who they don't agree with violence. The one thing most (if not all) these popster have in common is that they detest the guys who killed the victim.

It's a kin to those who threatened rape to anyone who dared to voice an opinion that accused Ched Evans of being guilty!

differentnameforthis · 05/01/2016 06:21

who they don't agree with, with violence

Wheretheresawill1 · 05/01/2016 06:36

Those toilets are for use by anyone. They r just bigger hence accessible

SoupDragon · 05/01/2016 07:12

SoupDragon "I would hope that snyone who actually punched someone for doing this would be prosecuted for assault."

would you want the people who did the gluing to be prosecuted for anything

No, lorelei I'd like them given chocolate and flowers and sent on an all inclusive holiday to the Caribbean. Hmm What a idiotic question.

Although not as idiotic as the adults who are advocating kicking the shit out of one, possibly two childreN.

Walkingintheraindrops · 05/01/2016 07:15

The thread has somehow turned funny Grin its so fucking ridiculous it's amusing. Half of you are complete ejits

FairyDustDreamer · 05/01/2016 07:49

At 18 hopefully at least one will be prosecuted for actual bodily harm or the like.
Community service for both and hours of being 'educated' on issue whether they like it or not.
A prank where injury should be foreseen is not a 'joke'.
It was only a joke will not do.
It is a crime and they are old enough to know better. If they are not they will hopefully be forced to know better.

BigChocFrenzy · 05/01/2016 07:53

It's a spiteful hate crime that should receive proper punishment - via the legal system.
If a parent actually caught someone in the act of harming their tiny DCs, they might go berserk, but they would be more likely to be tending to their chld.

These teenagers deserve to be charged and convicted, if there is sufficient evidence, not let off with a police caution.
Yes, that may muck up their chances of uni, but they chose to commit a nasty crime and can't expect just to continue their lives without consequence.

However, a long sentence of imprisonment would be disproportionate wrt crimes of serious deliberate violence.
I would suggest community service cleaning toilets all weekend for 6 months, so they have much less free time to waste, plus a large fine - so hopefully they would have to sell their phones & other electronic gadgets.

coffeetasteslikeshit · 05/01/2016 07:55

Another one here asking what the fuck's going on here? I can't believe how many posters are advocating violence. Someone even said that they don't think people like this can be rehabilitated and should be locked away for life! Really? Do you really feel that?

Hihohoho1 · 05/01/2016 08:00

It's a hate crime and they should be dealt with according to the law.

I find the posters advocating kicking the shit out of other people quite disturbing actually.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 05/01/2016 08:05

It's like this on all the local news sites .People fall over themselves to describe how they should do the most brutal things to the perpetrator. And yet they vilify Isis for being brutal.

BigChocFrenzy · 05/01/2016 08:11

I don't think anyone is recommending slavery, rape, decapitation or burning alive, so ISIS is a bit mad as an exaggeration.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 05/01/2016 08:12

Well people do actually recommend those on the local news site. Which is what I was talking about. Wink

Sallystyle · 05/01/2016 08:20

Locked away for life haha

Inmate- So what you girl's got life for? Murder?
Inmate girls- Nah, we put superglue on a toilet seat and we can't be rehabilitated.

Hmm

They are disgusting and I most certainly hope they get punished by the law, but kicking the shit out of them and putting them in jail? Seriously?

BigChocFrenzy · 05/01/2016 08:21

I expect a few people with disabled relatives are sounding off. Most won't.

I know I get pissed off after race attacks if people criticise when we don't all react perfectly - after a racist hurts someone in our community.
I admit that as a kid sometimes I punched other kids who called me a "wog".

Hate crimes get extra punishment partly because they cause such strong reaction and may lead to civil unrest.

SoupDragon · 05/01/2016 08:21

Once you start advocating violence as a punishment, it just becomes a matter of where your personal line in the sand is drawn.

LagunaBubbles · 05/01/2016 08:23

I think there is a huge difference between saying you would attack someone because of what they have done and actually doing it. It's a natural reaction for lots of people in a situation when they feel helpless.

BigChocFrenzy · 05/01/2016 08:28

It'll die down provided they receive 6 months of weekends scrubbing loos with their toothbrushes Smile

Jux · 05/01/2016 09:00

Were they targetting disabled people? I'm sure they weren't hoping that a small child would be their victim.

Horrible thing to do regardless of motivation, but I would be interested to know who they thought would sit on that seat.
