to tell you how to use a loo brush?

BECAUSE I AM RIGHT.

A toilet brush is not for removing skiddies off the bowl. It's not. You don't take what is supposed to be a permanent fixture of your bathroom and smear it in shit, then leave it there, festering and breeding in its own little bowl of filth. That's fucking minging. This is why the poor toilet brush gets such a bad rep, you see, people are doing it all wrong.

When you skid the toilet, you take a piece of toilet paper, and you wipe it off. And before you all go "but Mavis, that's also fucking minging", well, I can only say it's minging if you don't intend to wash your hands before you leave the bathroom. Who's ready to admit to that then Wink

"I buy a new one every week" - well, the environment hates you and you're probably going to hell. And you still have a pooey brush in your bathroom for seven days emitting its pooey vapours. So.

The intended purpose for a toilet brush is to clean. Like with bleach. When you clean your loo. Once a week. And then back it goes, all germ-free because all it's done is swish about in very concentrated bleachy water, until the next time.

Can I say or is that totally out of fashion nowadays?

for dried on skiddies.. loo roll over skiddy, wicking up water from toilet. leave to soak off. can also do loo roll toilet cleaner.

ex used to block the loo then try to unblock with the loo brush so manky loo brushes wer hanging around covered in shit and looroll.

thank God he no longer comes in the flat.

Loo brushes always cause a stir on MN.
Does there have to be rules for using one? What if we break the rules?
Has anyone ever become ill or died by misusing a loo brush?
I really don't get all the fuss.
Fwiw, I used my brush to remove shit stains today. I cleaned the brush and put it back in the cupboard.

Christ, I hope nobody knows who I am but I can't be arsed to NC. I have to confess as a small child I used to use our loo brush as a kind of cattle prod for stubborn floating logs (the shame).

No wonder, as a very sophisticated grown up, they brought back terrible memories of a poor Irish Catholic childhood but I have been recently been converted back to using one again.

Mavis I am with you 100%. Thank you for the opportunity to confess and I am (happy to confirm) a reformed toilet brush user. They need not be minging, it's the people who use them Wink

No I haven't. I posted previously on this thread. I was answering penguinsarecool.
I lurked a bit but then posted as I felt implored to comment.
I was shocked by the responses and language more than the actual threads. I don't speak to people like that. Some posters responses to OPs and other posters were vile so a bit of penguins bleach thrown around MN might be just the job. A good clean up! Glad you thought so penguin I hope you have the squirty bottle :)

I think one of them was told it should be in relationships.
From what I can see the language seems to be acceptable on here. I used to be on another forum and we didn't allow swearing on it.
I've been ill so have read quite a few threads and can't remember what they were but mostly the trending ones. It was often in the middle of the night. Quite a bit of shite there as well!
