Checked mine,

Purse with too many cards in it (and actually some cash which is unusual...)
Phone
Car/home keys
Work keys on lanyard
Another smaller bag with lipsticks, lip gloss, lip balm, pens, paracetamol, mints, a tiny emergency kit with more paracetamol and a couple of other meds and plasters and a hair tie) more hair ties, a nail buffer, someone else's nail scissors (must remember to return those...)
Sunglasses

On a day where I have appointments then there will be an ipad or a book or similar.

I tend to move between different handbags so I have everything in smaller bags that just slot in (if that makes sense).

It's much more organised than it used to be... perhaps I'm finally growing up (at 40!)

I carry a rucksack as I like to have my hands free. Have "posh" black leather one and different everyday ones, too. Apart from the items on posters' lists above, I often carry some healthy food in a box (plum tomatoes and nuts, e.g., and an apple) to make sure I don't fall victim to sudden urges to eat bakery stuff or sweets; and I like to carry my Greek New Testament with me.

Mine has
Phone
Bank card
Loose change
6 pieces of duplo
3 chocolate coins
A (wrapped) chocolate orange segment
Toothbrush
Pen
Hair clips
Reusable bag

I love my bags but since having ds they are mainly filled with random crap. My phone and bank card tend to go in my pocket anyway

I have just received a brand new gorgeous handbag for Christmas so mine is unusually sparse and clean right now!

Now:
my enormous purse
pack of tissues
lip balm
lipstick
sanitary towels
diary
drugs (antihistamines/painkillers/germoline cream/calpol sachets/arnica cream)
RADAR key
phone
mcdonalds coffee cards
nail file
hair bobbles/hair clips
biros

Previously:

All of the above plus...

32,000 scrunched up receipts
one child's sock
Playmobil figures
a number of books belonging to one or more of the children
three and a half candles and holders (for a bday cake)
used tissues and hankies from snotty children
some bits of popcorn (???)
two paintbrushes
four blunt pencils
folded up works of 'art' from various places that provide colouring sheets for kids

And I wonder why I have a bad back!!

Mine doubles as a changing bag as I am currently on Mat leave and very rarely without DD2 (2.8) and DS (9 weeks)

Me:
Keys
Phone
Hairbrush
ISA book
Tissues
Little tin Vaseline

DD:
Water bottle
Satsuma
Mini colouring book and pencils in little pot
Wind up train + penguin
Hat

DS:
Nappies
Wipes
Nappy sacks
Hand gel
Fold up mat
Spare vest and bsbygrow
Hat
Rattle

That sounds like loads but it fits into a medium sized handbag.

I dislike ruining the lines of my clothes weighing them down with things so always have a bag.

In mine I carry -

Purse
Brush
Receipts x50
Small makeup bag mostly full of bobbles
Lipsticks in every part of the bag (I "lose" and then find them again all the time)
Sophie the giraffe (sub for any random baby toy)
Mobile phone
Bottle of water
Keys
Glasses

Purse, car keys, reading glasses, glasses case for my distance glasses when I need to change pairs, small hairbrush, tampons and d sanitary towels as necessary.

Women's clothing is just pathetically designed when it comes to pockets. There are very few, and any there are are not usually deep enough.

At the moment, $150 I changed but didn't need - I must put it somewhere safer now.
