I have used most of them at one time or another. I couldn't carry all that lot in pockets even if my clothes had them!

Well, I frequently wear skirts/dress pants/dresses that don't have pockets. Aside from that, I love my handbags, I think they're pretty and I like carrying them.

I carry:

Makeup Bag (5 lip glosses, 1 mascara, mirror)
Bandages
Antibacterial Wipes
Inhaler
2 pens
Checkbook
Reusable Shopping Bag

OP I saw this and couldn't help but think of the thread about 6 months ago headed "what is your every day carry?" (started by an American). There was considerable overlap with some of the lists here except for the entry which read "glock 38". Now I can't resist opening these threads.. I feel like I never know quite what's going to be revealed.

I have my Concealed Carry Permit, and I carry a Glock 42, but I don't have it in my handbag.

Men's coats have more pockets than women's coats. It's very unfair. They have hidden internal pockets and everything.

Half the time, pockets in my jackets are fake Sad

I've just emptied my handbag, and my god, what a messy woman I am. I also seem to be a hoarder of sorts.
Contents:
Large purse stuffed with too many membership cards and scraggy receipts
Card wallet with more loyalty cards
Empty envelope
Unopened letter
Another receipt
Foldaway reusable bag
Hearing aids plus batteries
Portable charger with plug and cable
Gloves
Umbrella
Empty glasses case and lens wipes
Mini medicine bag with inhaler, regular prescription medications plus paracetamol etc and spare contact lenses
Mini make up bag with everything one would need for a full face of make up- I start work at 7am so often go bare faced and fix later
Kindle fire
Phone
An a5 'lifebook' diary in a bulky leatherette zip around case- aka my life in a book

I need to clear this shit out.

Purse
Phone
Keys
Travel card
Tissues
Maybe make up to retouch if I'm dressed up
Mints maybe

A handbag is easier since I don't have to muck about transferring things from one set of pockets to the next when I change clothes.
