Online, in the sales without leaving the comfort of my sofa?

Bargains include:

Half price Playmobil from Boots
Half price handbags and make up brushes from Debenhams
Half price VTech toys at Debenhams and some Disney stuff too
30/50% of jumpers from M&S
Massively discounted smellies from Tesco

And now I feel incredibly smug with my bargains, plus I remembered to use quidco Xmas Smile

Has anyone else done the same or am I the only mad one?

My SIL usually bought my dad with no sense of irony - much like the people at the beginning of this thread, except she was so much nicer.

This was a serious advert.

One year she bought him a Pagan Man gift set instead. Only the talc remains. My mum gave it to me when my shoes were giving me terrible gip. It's got to be about 40 years old. It's probably dust now.

You can't get talc any more unless you're on holiday. They always have some in strange Spanish pharmacies.

Bogan is the Australian equivalent of Chav.

(Posting purely for information purposes, not because I think it's a valid description of the OP.)

wow, what a lot of sour people pissing on op's parade Hmm

i read the op and though wow done them, wish i was that organised, well to a certain point i am as buy 1/2price cards and wrapping paper for next year and then forget where i put it Grin

and yes Libertas i am sorry about your home and floods, same thing happened to friends in my area 2yrs ago xmas eve :( i hope you get dried out soon and insurance pay out etc

but also agree with limited and could say to all on here who have moaned about their mums and crap pressies they have - my mum died last year and would love to have had a cheesy pressie from her - infact just her being alive would be nice ...........

I think it's funny that people are assuming the OP has bought loads of tat. The make up brushes could be high quality ones that will last for ears that she has managed to bag with a third or half off. Why are the snoots assuming it is a poly bag filled with 2.99 brushes that would be suitable for use on a Girl's World?

I dunno, but I like the word "snoots." Grin

That Lancôme brush set looks lovely. I'd be delighted with that as a Xmas present.

I think its a fantastic idea OP. I went to Clintons and got next years cards half price.

Why are people saying the OP bought tat. So bloody rude and unnecessary. You can pick up lovely items in the sales and what is wrong with buying them now at half the price. Sounds like she bought some lovely bits. People are so nasty. Good for you OP. Ignore those who rain on your parade.

I bought Christmas cards in the sales once. Thought I'd done so well.

That was until the next December when I couldn't find them.
They've never appeared despite moving house.
Never again. Grin

I think it's really good to be that organised and Disney never goes out of fashion.
They seem like good choices tbh, too many judgemental people on this thread.
No, YANBU and the only reason I haven't is that we will likely move before then and I wouldn't want to have to pack xmas pressies too.
Good for you OP.
Just write down in a little note book or lap top, where you have stored them nd what you bought and for whom. Grin
