To wonder if I'm ever going to get a bloody Christmas dinner?

At DP's Dad's in East London for Christmas. It's been lovely, loads of family and friends calling in, more booze than the local pub stocks, anything you want.

Christmas dinner been on since about 9. Things have been ready in that time and been taken out to 'go back in at the end'.

But when is the end?!! I'm so hungry that when we ran out of tonic water I legged it to the offy and had a secret packet of crisps on the way back. We had a croissant at 10 and nothing since then.

I'm smashed and bleeding hungry! They've just busted open a keg so I'm not sure dinner is going to happen at all.

There's a baby here who has a rusk. I'm eyeing that up right now. I don't think she'd put up much of a fight, but she has slobbered on it.

Gileswithachainsaw · 25/12/2015 20:20

OddSocksHighHeels · 25/12/2015 20:24

Aww cute pug in blanket!

I should imagine that anything would have tasted good - she was half starved and pissed!

SmellyFartado · 25/12/2015 20:25

Oh MadHatters you have made me laugh. And the poster that asked if they were cooking Godzilla.

My cooking times tend to lean on the erratic side but a whole afternoon and evening for a roast and a turkey that has sat for 6hrs has made me roar.

Gileswithachainsaw · 25/12/2015 20:28

next yr take a turkey brown and some aunt Bessie roasties, stuffing balls , yoorkies and bags of those micro steam veg.

cook.the pigs in blankets the day before.

nothing should take.more than.40 mins.then..then we can know fir sure they are taking the piss and time.them.fir a laugh Grin

Mad, how did it taste?!

MadHattersWineParty · 25/12/2015 22:00

Well.... Like a roast really... It was nice though. I just have no idea why it took an entire day.

There was no starter or pudding. Just glad to have been fed to be honest. Drank all the gin.

You must read this back to yourself tomorrow.

Your typing got worse the drunker you got:)

lorelei9 · 25/12/2015 22:25

So you didn't eat all day, got the year's dullest main course and not even some chocolate after? Def don't go next year. Your hangover is going to be something tomorrow.

MadHattersWineParty · 25/12/2015 22:51

Aw the pug in the blanket picture made me smile!

Right. I'm well pissed. I just put moisturiser on my toothbrush. Night all, thanks for keeping me sane while i was so bleeding hungry!

I found a hamster in the cupboard under the stairs, it was having a little kip in its cage. I was well tempted to nick its little nutty treat stick thing, it hadn't touched it.
