Ds2 6 is fast asleep, ds1 is 9 and wide awake, he is at the stage where he believes and does not...

I haven't even wrapped a single present (been ill with campylobacter for the past 3.5 weeks) decided I am not being ill anymore and poured that large expensive wine...

ds1 please go to sleep Smile

Ffs, he just got up to go the loo and nearly rumbled me. He doesn't even believe!

5 more minutes and I'm going to finish it off.

Mine went to bed easily but both woke up and 1 am then 4am. Fortunately i was awake anyway with horrible bug, but at least i could tell them is confiscate the stockings if the didn't go back to sleep Grin

poor buggers, DH then said they had to wait till i woke up to look at their presents Hmm It was 8.30 am and i wasn't well enough to engage anyway. .

One believes, one doesn't.

Well. That was a semi success in that we're all still alive. DS came into the living room for a second glass of water when I expressly told him to get further drinks from the bathroom. He found me surrounded by his unwrapped presents (I do have a valid reason for not having them wrapped before now, honest). I screamed. He screamed. I decided at that point there was no way in hell that I was going to attempt to wrap a football and a basketball because he has seen them. So shoved them in his stocking.

I wrapped the rest, put them under the tree. Stocking outside the bedroom door. All fairly good Confused. DP was making a cup of tea and I told him to make sure the cat wasn't under the tree or anywhere in the living room. He couldn't find the cat. I couldn't find the cat. The little bastard appeared from nowhere. DP picked him up and the little bastard mauled DP Grin. Blood and torn skin, shouting and swearing.

I'm now in bed, drinking tea with the dog and the cat whose name is Frankie Knuckles, funnily enough. DP is nursing his wounds and DS is 'coughing' in bed probably working up courage to venture out for another glass of water Grin.

Night Night and a Very Merry Christmas To You All Xmas Smile

Just finished!

11y old kindly had his lamp off so I was able to do it under the cover of darkness. No such luck with 8y old. Plus it wasn't until I was in the room that I realised one more step and the door would slam shut (typical that the doorstop had been moved!). So I was doing a weird ballet position, leg stretched out with a toe holding the door open as I stretched to lay the stocking at the end of the bed!

All the while fuckface DH potters about!

I'm totally losing the will to live here! Both DS (10 and 7) both still wide awake and in and out of their bedrooms like yo yos! Totally doing my head in! Both still believe but they caught me bringing all the presets down. I've removed their sacks and they're lying on my bed and they've both noticed their sacks aren't there - I feel like everything ice planned so well has been totally ruined! And that tomorrow (well, later today) everyone is going to be so bloody knackered that it's just going to be shit!!!!!!!!!! I know they're excited but this is just a joke!!!

Oh god, I'm in hysterics Grin
At the mauling cat, the ballet present delivery and the Dc who refuse to give in and sleep!!!
Sorry guys, mine have been asleep for hours, but I have felt the need to stay up drinking til 2am to 'unwind', and I will be paying the price tomorrow so I'm not too smug!

DD (5) woke up at 11.30, and is still fecking awake! DD2 has just woken up and is being fed back to sleep. I'm sure I just heard DS in the bathroom. DH is snoring peacefully, and I still have 4 fecking stockings to sneak out of rooms, fill from rustly plastic bags, and replace on beds.
I want to go to sleeeeeeeep!!!
