Ds2 6 is fast asleep, ds1 is 9 and wide awake, he is at the stage where he believes and does not...

I haven't even wrapped a single present (been ill with campylobacter for the past 3.5 weeks) decided I am not being ill anymore and poured that large expensive wine...

ds1 please go to sleep Smile

All three are still awake. DD3 was crying because she thought she is ruining Christmas by still being awake. it's just gone quiet after I spent 10 minutes stroking her hair!

All currently awake, including five year old. I just want to sleep. I've been up since five. I've worked. We have company. I am currently sat in a dark room stopping children running between bedrooms. I've been brought a cup if tea. I think I might be here a while.

MsJamie I've got that! Been really ill in hospital for a week with it, it's horrible isn't it? You're not from the north west are you?
Dd6 is still awake and getting upset that she can't get to sleep. I really want to go to bed as I'm shattered, but now can't until she's asleep as I have to fill her stocking in her room!

I'm lucky all my three are asleep, just shipped six sacks down followed by an air hockey table while I go down the stairs on my bum... Stockings only in the bedrooms or they'll be up at God knows what time. I'm shocked though, my eldest normally averages 11.30 for sleep so 9.30 tonight was strange!

Ds 4 was asleep by 8, so we've put all the presents under the tree. But we have failed 3 times to do the stocking, he keeps waking up, said he has checked it and still empty.

Does this mean he will be shouting and wanting to open them if he wakes at 2/3am Xmas Confused? Do you let them or just refuse until a more suitable hour?

It was much simpler last year.

Two fast asleep eldest (10) still awake. She says she doesn't believe but not sure if there is still some residual belief. I need to go to sleep soon.

All mine (13, 8 and 1) are up but we're about to go over the road to midnight communion so they're supposed to be up.

The idea is that they sleep in a bit in the morning!

Just done the stockings (made easier by the fact that the DC don't like the idea of a strange old man going into their bedrooms) so stockings are downstairs.

Just finishing off a glass of Wine it would be rude not too Grin

12 year old still awake. I'm only here to make sure I don't fall asleep before he does.
Everything is wrapped just needs to go into sacks downstairs. Wat I should have done was hidden it all downstairs so I could have got it ready under the pretext of watching EE and then come straight to bed.

My toddler went to bed at 8pm,
Sound asleep...
Turned the living room into Santa's grotto, she came wandering in around 10pm
"Get to bed"
"Don't tell me what to do"
Read her the riot act she went back to bed all hard done by.
Thought I was going to pee myself not laughing at her.
Little witch!!!
2 year old teenager !
