A courier delivered a parcel to my address when I was not at home. I have not given any details of 'leave with neighbour if not in, or 'safe place' or anything. He/she put note through door saying 'parcel left in meter box'. He unlocked my leccy meter box with his own key and put parcel in!! Bit miffed I am.

YABU. Are you afraid he may have stolen some of your electricity as he was stashing away your parcel for you rather than lashing it over a wall or fence?

A terribly nice delivery lady brought my last parcel this morning (phew), I could have kissed her!

Sounds like a sensible postie to me.

I was in our local Tescos the other day, 5 minutes from our house. When I got out to the car the postie tapped on the window and asked if I was headed home or out, as if I was going out I could pop down the road to his van with him and pick up my parcel that he was going to try and deliver in20 minutes.

That's service!

I'm another one with a fab postie. He saw me on the school run a few weeks ago after I had missed a delivery and told me that he would pop back round with it when I was home. Great service.
