I'm trying to find a light for our bathroom but they are all frosted patterned glass and chrome blocks...

Aibu to think bathroom lighting is ugly and there's a restricted choice?!

Wanted something like this

Meh! Only if you follow the rules! I've a full on chandelier in mine!

Mmmmcake123 · 14/12/2015 00:23

Agree it's difficult to find something nice that can cope with steam Sad

MamaDuckling · 14/12/2015 00:27

Under cabinet lighting? V soft and glowy...

grumpysquash2 · 14/12/2015 00:29

Why don't you buy the ones you like?

MagicFinger · 14/12/2015 07:49

Because I can't find anywhere that sells them, found these on Pinterest.

they have to be bathroom standard to withstand steam and they are all so cheap and dated looking, yet pretty expensive!

These any good from Ikea.

Agree.

We're getting recessed spotlights fitted as I'm sick of trying to find a nice bathroom light.

grumpysquash2 · 14/12/2015 08:06

How about visiting a bathroom showroom and asking for a lighting catalogue? They will have a better selection than B&Q, Homebase etc. Have you tried John Lewis? They sometimes have nice things (other times not so much)

Agree, we moved into our house with a break bulb and spent 5 years trying to find something to warrant replacing it with. I moved out and left it bare. (It was on the ceiling so I couldn't use a pendant,)

munkisocks · 14/12/2015 10:05

We have spotlights in ceiling.

Thanks all, like the ikea selection, can always rely on Scandi style!

Spotlights are a really good alternative.
