I'm in the left lane of the roundabout which is clearly signposted for going left or straight across, another car is next to me in the right lane which again is clearly signposted for right turning only.

We were both going around the small roundabout at the same time and then she cuts straight across me. If I hadn't of emergency braked she would of gone straight into the side of me, no indicaters for changing lanes or anything and there wasn't room to do this on such a small roundabout. I beeped my horn and as shes now gone to right turn off the road we were in and we're side by side again I shouted at her and told her to fucking learn to drive.

Cars are dangerous and can kill, there are rules on the road for a reason and it's actually quite scary that other users can end up killing you.

YANBU because I don't drive.

I used to drive and now I don't.

And I don't because I am a spectacularly shit driver. I used to grip the wheel, sweat like a bastard through sheer panic, go too close to parked cars due to lack of spatial awareness, couldn't park (reverse or otherwise) and used plan my route to ensure, as far as possible that I only turned left.

So I did everyone a favour and gave up. And usually on driving threads I see comments like "have more lessons! Practice! You just need more confidence! It's so empowering!"

I feel safe here Grin

I feel your pain. I was nearly in 3 accidents in quick succession earlier.

First I was cut up on a round about, nearly going into the back of him. Then some one pulled out in front of him so he nearly went into them, and then a van driver pulls out, and swerves between me and the first driver, so I nearly went into them. This was all on the same roundabout.

Oh, Lord - I hate the way typeover suddenly seems to appear out of nowhere. Please insert these word after "seems like you" and before "a road". wouldn't have been in total control of the car while you were shouting and swearing. I once made a mistake on
I do wish you could edit posts on here

Forgettabtallthat, what I want to know is why drivers entering the roundabout directly opposite me assume they have right of way if they are signalling to turn right. Last I looked priority to enter was based on where you enter, not where you exit. And if they paused for the yield line, or drove at the speed limit, it wouldn't be an issue, because we would smoothly reach our own sides at the same time.
Can you guess I was nearly rear-ended at a roundabout yesterday and am still GRRRR about it? Especially since he then had the cheek to hoot at ME!
The only redeeming aspect was imagining him trying to explain to both our insurers that HE rear-ended ME and it was somehow my fault...Grin

Oh go and be a book editor or something stealth and fulfil your inner pettiness in a grammar job worth doing.

I wasn't driving when I lost my temper and shouted I stopped next to where they had stopped in the right hand turn off just past the roundabout. I do get road rage but this made me froth. I do not want to die my thought process was you fucking bitch you could of killed me and left my dc motherless do you even know what you could have done. That didn't come out of my mouth as I wasn't very coherent at the time it was a shock.

Eurgh! Driving back home from work today, only 40 mins journey and saw three accidents almost happen! A car veered from the left into the right hand lane on the A1, almost into the side of a car overtaking, a car tried to exit the A1 via an entry slip road Hmm and a car took an exit then must've realised it was the wrong one and drove over all the white hatched lines over the hard shoulder and into my lane!! I think we should retest every so often. Scary stuff

PawsnPurrs · 12/12/2015 23:00

this is why im getting a dash cam, within the last week two drivers pulled out in front of me when im going straight, one was only cm away from hitting my car, i had to swerve to the right and the lorry nest to me had to swerve all because of this idiot, it could of ended really badly specially with a lorry next to me

today on the way to Harrogate a taxi driver pulled out on the roundabout then was stuck behind a Nissan doing 30mph on a 60 with no chance to overtake 😫 Giving up driving!
