How did you deal with toddler hitting, never exoerienced this before

Youngest will hit when he doesn't want his nappy changed or doesn't wasn't to go out or be put in his buggy or car seat

Catch the arm before he hits you, telling him calmly you cannot allow this. This way he gets the message that it is wrong without having to do the "crime" first.

Just say "no, we do not hit" calmly but firmly every time. You can physically hold his arm to stop him hitting you but try to remain unfazed by it its just a phase it will pass. Good luck.
