Every child gets 2, and there is a ballot for extras. DD got 1 extra which tbh isn't much good- 2 really involved sets of grandparents, plus one step-granny.

AIBU to tell a little white lie here?

I think that's for the best, but return the spare ticket so school can give it to someone else.

Sounds like you've got it sussed there then. Say nothing and nobody will be hurt and your friend gets to see the show. Perfect.

It could be that the grandmas are less worried than you think.
