To wonder why this woman was staring at us?

It was really odd. In sainsburys cafe at lunch time. Me, my dnan and my two dd's (3 & 6months). We were sitting at the table, 3 of us eating lunch, I fed dd2 at one point, then we sat chatting, minding our own business whilst we finished our drinks and dd1 are her snowman biscuit treat thing. Sometime during the meal a woman and her 2 dc's sits at the table next to us, didn't pay her much mind, until I noticed her staring, well more like glaring at us. At first I ignored it and assumed I had happened to catch her gaze. Carried on minding my own business. Then we were getting ready to leave and again I noticed her staring again, I'm pretty sure she even gave me there 'up and down' look, I was concerned that I might have spilt something down my top but I hadn't. She even stared at us as we were walking to the trolley bay and whilst we were getting our trolley.

I know it shouldn't but It's been bugging me all day wondering why she was so obviously glaring at us and what we could have done to have caused her to do that, we weren't being loud, dd1 was sitting nicely in her chair, dd1 was on my lap. I wish I had said something at the time but I'm really not a confrontational person and I felt quite intimidated by it actually. I also didn't want to cause a scene in front of the children.

Not really sure why I'm posting this, some people are just strange aren't they?

I wish I stuck to my Gardeners world presenter story.

I'm sorry for lumping you in with the unpleasantness that has been going on here, howtorebuild.

AgentZigzag · 28/11/2015 02:18

But poor T (I can't keep calling her Testicle Grin) didn't say anything even remotely offensive to anyone in the first place.

Tell me more about inciting other people to piss on their houseplants though.

Love to think someone took it as genuine advice and tested it out Grin

Had a few old hags staring at our little mixed and bizarre family when FIL took us out for dinner. It was a long, bad day for all of us for good reason.

DH is dark and adopted by white FIL. FIL is in a wheelchair. DD is mixed. So we weren't exactly the typical family coming in.

DH had to make phone calls, which he went outside for, we waited for him to order food. DD got loud, started eating her crayons. FIL was indulging her. Not really the best behaved child. DH finally got back a bit stroppy from said phone call, which put me in a cranky mood. Everyone was just done with the day, and dinner was sort of the relief from it. FIL is a pill on the best of days, this wasn't his best of days so he was admitably short and bossy to the waitress. Anyway, these dumb bitches decided to stop eating and stare at us throughout dinner, occasionally making remarks amongst themselves. We finally got out, and got to FIL's handicap accessible car and they started making snide remarks about it. Gestured at it and said loudly "Oh, you have got to be kidding me".

Did they see us at our best? Certainly not. But you know what? Those dumb cunts can kiss my ass. Our night was none of their damn business to look down their noses at us to begin with. Not sure why they got under my skin, but they did.

I typically ignore stares. I'm awesome, DH is awesome, DD is adorable. I'd be admiring a family like us too. Wink

It's only an instruction in hope that their plants die a horrible, urine soaked death.

But apparently pee is sterile when it comes out so it may lead to luscious leafy plants. :o

Call me Alan. (or that braless one)

Senpai · 28/11/2015 02:31

But apparently pee is sterile when it comes out so it may lead to luscious leafy plants.

It's also high in salt, which is bad for plants. So... they'd die.

Which is why Bear Grylls drinking it is fucking stupid it would dehydrate him the same way sea water would.

AgentZigzag · 28/11/2015 02:34

Wow, great timing senpai, the old hags, dumb bitches/cunts, and a handicap accessible car would eclipse anything in T's post even if there was anything amiss!

MistressMerryWeather · 28/11/2015 02:36

Was his birth name really Bear?

Senpai · 28/11/2015 02:41

Naw... They were dumb bitches for sneering at us.

FIL's car is handicap accessible. It has a ramp and everything.

But you're welcome to clutch pearls if you like. :)

howtorebuild · 28/11/2015 02:42

You missed, mixed off the list, Agent.

howtorebuild · 28/11/2015 02:44

All we need now is Donald Trump to appear.

AgentZigzag · 28/11/2015 02:45

I looked that up a couple of weeks ago MMW, it's Edward.

There was a prog when I was little with a bear called Teddy Edward (or Eddy Tedward as I always thought it was lol) I suppose Bear is quite cuddly in a kind of rip-your-face-off-with-his-claws way.

AgentZigzag · 28/11/2015 02:52

and at senpai.

I'm sorry I had to resort to that, but you started it were asking for it.

AgentZigzag · 28/11/2015 02:53

For you howto Wink

Senpai · 28/11/2015 02:55

Shock I came out to have a good time and I’m honestly feeling so attacked right now.

howtorebuild · 28/11/2015 02:58

Was Hopkins adopted?

howtorebuild · 28/11/2015 03:00

Senpai, the PC term for your child is dual heritage nowadays. Here Wine.

howtorebuild · 28/11/2015 03:02

Shit, I messed that up. It would be phrased, My ds/dd is of dual heritage.

MistressMerryWeather · 28/11/2015 03:04

Enough of this nonsense you two, 'tis most unbecoming.

You can her pearls and she can slap you with a dehydrated plant.

MistressMerryWeather · 28/11/2015 03:04

HAVE her pearls.

howtorebuild · 28/11/2015 03:10

As long as Teddy Bear does piss near me with his strong salty secretions, I am pleased with that.

howtorebuild · 28/11/2015 03:11

Doesn't

MistressMerryWeather · 28/11/2015 03:13

Freudian slip, Howto? :o

Gwenhwyfar · 28/11/2015 03:13

Try living in certain countries where staring is much more common and tolerated. Usually, people look just because they're interested.

Senpai · 28/11/2015 03:14

Dual heritage around here would imply she had two parents from different countries or cultural backgrounds. Me and DH come from the same culture and upbringing murica is cool like that, just different skin colors. The only thing that is combined with her, is her genetic race and she has more than just 2.
