If you tell someone to print pages 21-36; surely that means 21 and to and including 36?

Just that. I've just had to explain to someone I work with that when I said she'd need pages 21-36 meant that she'd need those exact pages. Apparently her assistant printed off just page 35 so I left her high and dry. It's like from the thick of it but I won't take responsibility for this. The preamble was on the afore mentioned pages but the core was on 36. If she failed to read the whole report then it's not my problem surely? Now we're all panicking until Monday but surely I did my part??

Yes. You're right. Her assistant was being dim.

Of course you meant page 36. Who wouldn't print it all off just to be sure anyway??

YANBU, her assistant is a bit thick.

Hope that helps!

Of course! Assistant being very dim.

Yes you did your part. You said pages 21 - 36. To be fair I would have probably printed off pages 20 - 37. Just to on the safe side. Efficient, me!
