He's bought frozen avocados

I asked for two perfectly ripe. I've got s grim looking bag of halves that need 8 hours to defrost.

Surely these will taste like shit once defrosted? Aibu to dump him?

Aldi's fresh veg is as good as any other supermarket imho. I shop there every week and it always lasts well. Avocados from any supermarket are hit and miss. They all ripen at once and you can't eat them quick enough, especially as i'm the only one in the house that likes them.

I've eaten them. Sorry girls but were shit.

They had turned bit brown when defrost ing, were very stringy, smelt funny, quite watery and the texture was off.

Maybe good to keep for emergencies, but a piss poor alternative.

The Aldi near me has lovely avocados at a good level of ripeness.

This week I bought some from a "pound a bowl" type place - the man taking the money helped me to pick out good ones.

If you find that your supermarket has over-ripe avocados, then clearly they are ordering too many for the avocado demand of the area.

If they are always hard, maybe they are trying to compensate for their slowness of shifting.

I think the quality of veg must differ between different branches of Aldi. Our local branch is rubbish for veg so I will still buy mine form the farm shop, Tesco or Morrisons.

I didn't eat it. It defrosted in the fridge, given a poke it felt like a wet rubber ball and didn't smell to good either so I think the bag will be going in the bin...

Was there fresh avocado at the supermarket? If yes, dump the guy. If no, give him another chance.
