I asked for two perfectly ripe. I've got s grim looking bag of halves that need 8 hours to defrost.

Surely these will taste like shit once defrosted? Aibu to dump him?

FrustratedFrugal · 27/11/2015 18:12

Frozen strawberries are just like the real thing too Wink

hazz1991 · 27/11/2015 18:18

omg lol thats funny. But yep you could make a nice smoothie with them :) add cocoa powder and coconut oil and some milk and its really yummy!

DrGoogleWillSeeYouNow · 27/11/2015 18:20

I can't believe frozen avocados are a 'thing' Shock

dynevoran · 27/11/2015 18:21

That's hilarious. But having digested this information I'd guess that for smoothies it'd be really good. In fact I might look next time I'm there Grin

BoxofSnails · 27/11/2015 18:22

I expect sinack was a typo for spinach?? Also available frozen, sounds a bit horrible to me but I have texture issues.

sadwidow28 · 27/11/2015 18:26

Oh yes - indeed SNAP lovemyway

I was so excited to know the answer I took ages to type! Grin

reni2 · 27/11/2015 18:27

They'll make good compost in time. In fact, they are probably half way there once defrosted.

AdoraBell · 27/11/2015 18:30

Eeeuuuuuuuwwwww frozen avocados Shock

Defo LTB, but make him eat them first, and post the video here Grin

lilac3033 · 27/11/2015 18:36

They'll be fine, I freeze extra ones for guacamole. Works really well!

CheesyWeez · 27/11/2015 18:39

They'll be perfectly fine in a dip. Defrost carefully in microwave or in a bowl of water.
I buy frozen guacamole all the time. It's the only way (guacamole in a jar is terrible). too lazy to make from scratch

ObsidianBlackbirdMcNight · 27/11/2015 18:46

That's so wrong

hibbleddible · 27/11/2015 18:53

I've learnt something new now, who knew frozen avacadoes existed

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 27/11/2015 18:56

Who are all you people ruining lovely avocados by making them into dips? Everyone knows the only way to eat an avocado is sliced with plenty of pepper on top of a Ryvita. Or with pine nuts, feta cheese and cherry tomatoes with a drizzle of balsamic glaze.

I want one now.

howabout · 27/11/2015 18:57

YABU. I need to try these. I am fed up buying avocados, waiting a week for them to ripen and then missing the day and finding them black.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 27/11/2015 18:57

But not a frozen one. Barf.

sadwidow28 · 27/11/2015 18:59

Oh No! Nigella Lawson has landed on the thread in the disguise of HeartsTrumpDiamonds Grin

AnonymousBird · 27/11/2015 19:02

Saw these the other day at either Tesco or Waitrose and couldn't quite believe it! Just thought they are bound to be gross!

Topseyt · 27/11/2015 19:04

I didn't even know avocados were suitable for freezing. Blush

You learn something new every day.

HelloItsMeAgain · 27/11/2015 19:07
