To think Hermes delivery are idiotic useless twats!

I accidentally found out my boyfriend has bought me a beautiful Micheal Kors watch for Christmas (I admired one in a shop the other day then saw the 'checkout' page up on our shared pc and he'd bought one) he doesn't know I know and I was going to pretend to be very very surprised (not used to pricey gifts anyway!)

Anyway the muppet got it delivered to our block of flats rather than his work. Neither of us are expecting any other delivery so when I popped home between shifts today there was a little Hermes card on the mat and I knew it must be for the watch.

Courier had apparently left it on top of our electricity box outside the front door. There's nothing there Sad

Builders are working on the scaffolding directly outside and in full view of front door but obviously it would be very easy for anyone to take!

No contact number on card. Watch was on a pre Black Friday flash sale thing so not sure he'd be able to get the same one again.

Bloody Hermes bastards. why would you just leave something somewhere where it could very obviously go missing?!

Hermes are bloody useless, deliver a parcel to me, was on school run so popped a card through door saying was in my blue bin.
It was blue bin collection day, bin was on pavement at end of drive ready for bin men Angry

Blame the business model not the drivers.

My Hermes lady is lovely. Knocks my door if I’m in. Leaves it in the kitchen if I don’t hear the door. Leaves it in a safe place if I’m not in. Has even brought me my parcels when someone’s put the wrong house number, because she knows my name.

I didn’t realise how great she was until now!

loubluee · 10/12/2018 18:28

Should also add my postman does the same as my Hermes lady. Plus they will both sign for parcels for me and leave it (I have given permission as I am disabled) although I guess it is against the rules. But it saves me trying to get to the post office several miles away when I am unwell.

They are both worth their weight in gold.

U2HasTheEdge · 10/12/2018 18:29

They are shit.

A couple of weeks ago I was waiting for a parcel and my neighbour messaged me to say she had a parcel for me which she saw the delivery man throw over her back gate, into a puddle. He didn't even knock on my door as I was in.

Greatorb · 10/12/2018 18:32

I caught our Hermes courier out recently. I was helping out clear some rubbish from a neighbour's garden when I watched her walk down the path and push a card through the door. She left pretty sharpish and when I looked at the card, it said that she had put the parcel behind the wheelie bin.

Not sure how she managed that as she never took a parcel out of her car in the first place. Obviously there was no parcel behind the bin, and all my complaints to hermes were ignored.

Hermes left an very large item for my dp outside my block..
Went missing. £300 item we had to fight for. Luckily the company we brought it from refunded and were taking it up with hermes.

Another one left a card sayinb item left round the side of house, again werena block. No access post box is even outside.
Now if I see it's hermes courrier I don't bother.

HarryDaylight · 10/12/2018 18:41

I avoid buying from companies who use Hermes as their courier. Their delivery service is too hit or miss and their pick up service is a joke.

Flowerpot2005 · 10/12/2018 18:51

Have to say my Hermes delivery chap is brilliant. Pot luck I think in the main but you can't tar them all with the same brush.

YoThePussy · 10/12/2018 19:04

I have had a lot of problems with Hermes over the last few months, no cards left and when I look online saying parcels have been left in a non-existent safe place. I have complained every time and the message does seem to be getting through. Last package was left with my neighbours and a card was left. I will remain vigilant though.

newmun · 10/12/2018 19:16

Tell him to contact company and request the same again. Amazon delivery left packages on our doorstep, full view of everyone on a main road and of course they went missing. Sent again and received the next day

goth1975 · 12/08/2019 11:45

i was told delivery of a parcel was attempted by myhermes on 10 august,i was in my flat all day and no card was left. Also you cannot get hold of a customer adviser easier to complain(they would probably have too many complaints to deal with).I have had problems with myhermes lots of times, makes me wonder why any company uses them for deliveries.
