Eyebrows should be left alone

Just saw an arinina grande video, only thing i can concentrate on is how dreadful her eyebrows look. Just awful.

The sugagabes used to have eyebrows about 2mm high and they always looked awful to me.

Is it me or do they look bad?

I get mine threaded every couple of weeks to keep them tidy. I hate the thick drawn on look going on at the moment.

I have thick curly hair - and spend a bomb having it straightened. Smile

I also have thick eyebrows. The middle gets plucked and a few other bits. They are never really tidy because plucking hurts. I don't do pain for appearance.

For years I did very little and was conscious that they were untidy - but I just couldn't seem to pluck both of them the same.

Now I have them waxed (and plucked - I think - can't see what she's doing tbh) once a month. If I try to pluck them myself I pinch great lumps of flesh - so cack-handed. She only tidies them though. Nobody has ever commented since I started having them done.

I'd kill for troll-like brows to work with. Having lost mine to alopecia I'm very grateful that made-up brows are everywhere so mine aren't different to everyone else's. I try and make them look natural but it's hard. I love checking out other people's brows.

MadeMan · 26/11/2015 22:01

That eyebrow threading technique is really clever; just watched it on Youtube.

If I leave mine as nature designed them DH calls me Helga (as in Hey Arnold). Nobody needs that.

I will concede, though, that this whole madness with eyebrows has gone too far and I look at young girls in shops and think to myself "you'll regret the photos of those in years to come" just as I regret double denim (which has come back AGAIN - WTF? It was vile the first time round) and all the other fashion-y shite.

If your eyebrows are 57 shades darker than the rest of your face/hair/skin then you need to put down the brow pencil and lie down in a dark room til the moment has passed.

BettyBlueToo · 26/11/2015 22:06

I have thin startled brows. I'm an old goth and I just can't bring myself to let them grow any bigger. It just feels wrong.

Fluffyears · 26/11/2015 22:15

I have light brown hair but wild black eyebrows. Plucking doesn't keep up with how fast the buggers grow (thanks for that gene dad!) I can't leave mine or I end up with a monobrow!
