That we should be a priority?

I am a single parent of 2DC (2 and 4) we live in a housing association house and they are in charge of all repairs etc.

Our heating has been broken for a month now, I've called them twice about it and they say as we have hot water we are not considered a priority and I should hear something within the next 15 days to book an appointment for them to come and look at it.

It is freezing and we are all currently wearing a jumper and a dressing gown because it is so cold.

AIBU to think that we have been left long enough? Should I keep calling them or is this common?

"greedy to expect first class treatment"

LOL at it being greedy to not want to be a month without heating in November when you pay for rent which includes heating. Grin

OP you need to get onto them, thy should have an emergency gas engineer now, phone and kick off!

OnlyLovers · 29/11/2015 12:51

That's good news, OP!

mrsjane, have a word with yourself, seriously. Not everyone necessarily has what you're lucky enough to be able to call 'a little bit' out of their own pockets. There's nothing entitled about that. How nasty.

HelenaDove · 29/11/2015 17:45

Pleased to hear its sorted OP It should NOT have taken a month though. Im already seeing the same problem posted on other sites. And its only the end of November.
