Most women I know looked great through their 40's. It's mid 50's when it takes it's toll, can see it in myself and my friends. Whereas most men start going downhill earlier.

There will always be good lookers male and female and for these people they will still stand out from the rest in 40's, 50's, 60's even 70's.

Wtf is Tony Hadley doing in the jungle?! Well, aside from being misogynistic....he can't need the money or publicity?

Janeymoo50 · 25/11/2015 20:19

Tony Hadley in the jungle. I shall never be able to listen to True in the same way again. He's 55 fogs, 4 years older than me, not aged well...sob.

I met the man who gave me my first job today at a professional event. He's a little old man now. He was known for his height - he's now barely taller than me (5'8"), he must have been over 6'2".

It's the ruddy hormonal shift for women, I looked hawt till the menopause kicked in. Everything's gone south and my waist has thickened even though I don't weigh anymore.

George Clooney really should not be considered the pinnacle of middle aged male beauty anymore, he's starting to look puckered, along with orange and dusty. That point where older people often start to shrink physically.

Depp is way past his prime too. Maybe he likes that though? He never seemed to enjoy looking beautiful, so perhaps he'll be happier with his bloated sweaty self?

Oh, and Hugh Grant took some proper old man pictures at Wimbledon this summer. They might just have been bad pics, but you could really see how he was going to age.

I have to agree that in general famous women age much better than the men.

I have a story that will horrify you...

A couple of years ago, I was looking for an old schoolfriend of mine on FB. He has a very common name, so I looked on the local page for the village that he was from.

I found his mum! I messaged her, and said I was trying to find him, and did she remember me etc. She didn't reply for months.

When she did, her message was quite short. It was along the lines of - 'lovely to hear from you, but I'm not David's mother, I'm his wife....'

Obviously I had seen a photo of a woman that looked the right age with the right surname - how she looked in 1986.... I still want to crawl up my own arse everytime I think about it ShockShockBlushBlush

I don't think Tony Hadley looks that bad for 55.

NottheSpice - oh dear. Was she older than him or was it the image of a younger man you had in mind? A friend in his 20s married a woman in her 40s - but she looked more like 50s- and he was constantly told by colleagues and gym goers that "you're too old to have your mum pick you up in the evening". !!

NotTheSpiceOfLife That's hilarious Grin
I wouldn't say she was too pleased. why do men often marry women who look like their mothers? what's that all about?

'I went to meet my first BF last summer at a marina with his family. I spotted him up the mast of a boat. As I got closer I saw a fat bald man at the bottom of the mast shouting instructions. Horror of horrors! The fat bald man was my old BF aged 30 years and the slim attractive youth was his son!'

lorelei9 I think she was our age. But his mum WAS our age when I knew her, so I had forgotten that she would have aged as well, if that makes sense!

BaronessSamedi The tone of her message indicated that she wasn't too flattered Grin

How many of you have seen a profile pic on FB of someone you haven't seen for years and assumed the pic is their parent....

David Baddiel on Pointless the other week - now starting to resemble Bernard Levin. Also Hugh Dennis! Beards are quite ageing - more grey hair to look at....

Re tom hanks he's artificially grey atm as he's playing the pilot that landed the plane safely in the river in Washington? Can't remember details were on another thread. Apparently he was on Graham Norton recently (which I refuse to watch now as Graham tweeted in support of Charlie sheen Shock)

Tony Hadley DOES need the money as he was only a singer not a writer or producer or musician on any of the Spandau music.

It's a huge mistake to watch TV or films or anything like that unless you know what you're going to see.

Similarly with mirrors. "Never look in a strange mirror" said Gore Vidal. He was right, you know.

I get Kelly Brook and Kelly Le Brock (star of 80s film "The Woman In Red") mixed up. Whenever I think of Kelly Le Brock, I picture a recent image of Kelly Brook, so it was quite a shock to see recently that Kelly Le Brock - the 80s one - looks like this now.
