I too loved Paul Nicholas in JGF: Penny and Vince wasn't it?

My child's teacher (who looks too young for sixth form) has parents younger than me.

It was interesting to see Duran Duran on Graham Norton the other night. Looked quite good on average I thought.

I feel better now - following the comment on bemused Americans, I've just googled Hugh Laurie. He is 11 years older than me - he is supposed to look older Grin

No - I can't do the maths Blush He's only 9 years older than me. But still older!!

Paul McGann. Sad So young and beautiful in Withnail and I.

Monty Don, on the other hand (am watching his new Secret History series), seems to have been exactly the same for about fifteen years. mighty fine

I know!

i.e.

Philip Schofield

Matt Le Blanc (still lovely though)

TinklyLittleLaugh · 25/11/2015 12:34

Only I was just coming on to say that Monty was looking a little old and fragile.

Fine featured men often age badly I think. More potato featured ones often improve with age, like Gary Barlow.

Ah, Monty Don. Yum.

Gary Barlow's only in his early 40s. He may well turn into Jack Duckworth in the next ten years.

Well he is Northern. I think there's a contract they sign when they're born Northern that states they will become pigeon fanciers in later life.

It's his destiny.

I think Mark Owen's pretty boy looks aged badly, Howard Donald on the other hand is lush.

Yes, baby faced cuties at 20 tend to look a bit goblin like at 50.

I saw Harry Enfield's dad in Selfridges once.

Then I realised it was Harry Enfield.

Like Michael Owen ...although he fancies horses

Tinkly, no! Monty looks fab.

Leonardo was beautiful in Romeo + Juliet, has just steadily inflated since then.

Howard Donald in Take That – meh. Howard Donald NOW – yum. Hello tiger.

Report
ShesAStar · 25/11/2015 13:09

As Leo's head has inflated his eyes have become less and less visible. Proof of the head inflation. He had beautiful eyes in R&J.

Mitzy - you've hit the nail on the head with the goblin comment. He does look like a little old wisend goblin.

I nearly had a heart attack recently seeing a neighbours son get into their car and drive it! He looks about 10!!

Mirrors are hated! In my head I'm still 27 (most definitely not 43 and dd is absolutely not old enough for a boyfriend even though by the time I was her age I was on my 2nd!)

Head inflation? Is this part of George Osbourne s spending review?

Funny how that works... people get old. Oddly enough, they prefer that to the alternative.

I am not getting older - but for some reason, all of the mirrors and cameras I come across are defective. Hmm

I love this thread. Shock at the Friends' DC though!

I caught sight of my DH washing up the other
Day and thought he looked like his father. I then realised he is probably the same age as his dad was when I first met him then I went for a little lie down

PurpleHairAndPearls · 25/11/2015 14:22

God if I say DH has aged well now I'll sound a bit pervy after my previous post

Lies down again

Call Me - of course it's better than the alternative - no one would dispute that. It's just you plod along for twenty off years and everyone looks more or less the same and then suddenly you notice people look noticeably different. It's not always s bad thing!

I saw Tom Hanks (as himself) on something the other day (awards show or summat) and I could not believe how old he looked. he was the young male lead of my generation. Now he looks like my dad!!
