To think people who say 'I told you so' are weird

Had some good medical news today about DD that we've worried about for a long time.

The response from someone who does this ALL of the time? I told you so.

Why? Why not say "I know you were worried, that's great news."

Does it all the time.

Am I being over sensitive?

Probably

YABU but understandably so. It would bug me too - very smug, as if they had some secret prior knowledge! I wouldn't make a fight out of this one...

To be flippant, if the person does this all the time, it's means they are right all the time, so maybe listen to them if they tell you it will be fine Wink

Seriously, good news for you. Some people just want to be a crucial part of Your Story.
