If I buy a tablet and there isn't enough storage on it (with apps etc), if I add a memory card will I be able to download more apps?

Depends what tablet you get, some do not have a memory card slot.

We have various Android tablets and you can go to Settings / Applications then select app and there will be an option to store it to the SD card.
