to return a pair of leather school shoes to Sainsburys?

Bought a pair of leather lace up school shoes for DS (10) late August ready for new term.

Admittedly they were £22 (much cheaper then Clarks etc) but they have completely collapsed in on themselves within 6 weeks of wear. The leather also seems to have soaked up water, and salt (?) so they have discoloured.

I still have the receipt - WIBU to ask for a refund? Should add I also bought DDs shoes from Sainsbo's and they are fine (she's the heavier wearer of shoes)

Well, there is the old saying 'if you don't ask you don't get' but tbh I wouldn't expect a 10 year old boys shoes to last more than about 2 months anyway, football in the playgound, walking in the rain etc

Nothing to lose by trying though.
