DS will be 18 at the end of the year,
He has just informed me that he has organised himself a party for 100 people >
And has asked if I would do the food for the occasion Hmm

I'm going to regret this arnt I??

Stay, I bet you are, they will be talking about the party for years by the sounds of it!

I let my DS have some friends round for his 18th and we went out, on the condition he was aware his 2 wee brothers were in bed. I think they were expecting crisps and nuts but I did a buffet (quite enjoyed that!) and he was secretly pleased all his pals raved about his Mums food!

stayathomegardener · 22/10/2015 22:00

Were there semi naked girls in the pool at 2am Susie?
Thinking how weird would it be to be outed over a party.

stayathomegardener · 22/10/2015 22:02

Sorry Lavender, taking over your thread.
Can you tell I'm still buzzing.
When is your DS's party?

WorraLiberty · 22/10/2015 22:03

He's lucky they agreed.

Most of the pubs and clubs around here won't allow 18th parties, because they attract too many under age drinkers.

They will have a great time lavenderRain, my ds organised his own but wanted it here, all his friends and my family came, it was a brilliant night, no one got stupid drunk, I had plenty of food organised for them and also a huge pot of soup, no one had touched the soup by the time I went to bed but when I got up the pot was empty, they all had a good mugful with rolls about four in the morning Grin to help with hangovers.

He's 24 this Xmas and we are thinking of having something similar but on a smaller scale as the girlfriends will be around so they like to behave Smile

Hope you all have a great night

thewolfof34thstreet · 10/12/2015 20:58

Oh how lovely, he'll never forget this! hopefully in a good way sweet of him to invite his mum and dad too!

LavenderRain · 10/12/2015 22:53

Thanks everyone. I think we are only invited for food/transport purposes Grin

Party Update, I survived!!

The party went really well, about 40-50 turned up, all pretty much well behaved. One girl was really drunk by 9pm and we later found an empty litre bottle of vodka where she had been sitting Hmm

hesterton has hit the nail on the head!
There was indeed one or 2 girls sobbing at the end

Someone was sick in the sink in the loo (vodka girl)

One boy ended up covered in mud as he'd been outside looking for his phone Confused

The 2 lads I dropped home were extremely sober and sensible and thanked me for a lovely party Grin

DS had a fab time, had a fair few drinks and a couple of shots I wasn't counting but was 'with it' all evening

There is a ton of food left over, the savouries went well but not so much the sweet, cake anyone??? Cake

DH and I went to the club today to tidy up, found a few full pints of lager on the grass and some broken glass, but over all no damage

It would appear to have been a success Grin
