Hi I'm new here so not sure if ok to post here but some help/advice needed

I'm off to Thorpe on Saturday as a surprise birthday, I'm slightly larger than the average size and I'm worried I may not fit, I'm a size 16 on bottom and 16/18 on top but my boobs are 40dd, has anyone a similar size had any problems with any of the rides?

If you have a look on their website it will say heights/weights Smile

JennyOnAPlate · 19/10/2015 15:41

I think you will be fine. I'm a size 20/22 with 40f boobs and have done Drayton manor recently.

Francescal88 · 19/10/2015 15:43

I was an 18 and 40E boobs... Didn't fit on Colossus. Most humiliating day of my life.

MsRinky · 19/10/2015 15:43

Yeah, you'll be fine. Me and my 40Es and size 20 behind did Gulliver's World recently, no problem, and all their rides are designed for younger kids. Have fun.

FanSpamTastic · 19/10/2015 15:43

I think you will be fine. I am a size 16 and never had any problems at Thorpe park. There are "tester" seats at the beginning of most attractions that you can sit in to try out.

pearpotter · 19/10/2015 15:43

I'm size 14-16, definitely 16 at the top and there is loads of room on all rides which are ok for adults.

YANAgurl1973 · 19/10/2015 16:55

Most rides have a dummy seat to try beforehand, but I think you'll be fine.

Janeymoo50 · 19/10/2015 16:59

You'll be fine, I'm a similar size (16 downstairs, 18 upstairs). The way I look at it is that you're unlikely to be larger than a biggish bloke (if you see what I mean). I've been to several things recently, Brighton Pier rides etc, and fitted no problem.

dementedpixie · 19/10/2015 17:01

I am bigger than you with 36GG boobs and size 20ish other places and fitted on fine at Alton towers when we went the other day (I am over 15 stone btw)

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 19/10/2015 17:05

I've never been to Thorpe Park but have been to Blackpool Pleasure Beach & Drayton Manor whilst a size 20/22. My cleavage has never stopped rides in any sense of the phrase (B cup). The only thing I ever had an issue with was a tiny turnstile used to exit a ride at Blackpool Pleasure Beach - I simply didn't fit & had to wait for the attendant to let me out through the "In" gate Blush.

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 19/10/2015 17:06

So, as a 16, I'd expect you to be fine. Although of course I can't comment on how large boobs would affect harnesses that fit around the chest.

dementedpixie · 19/10/2015 17:17

There were signs up at some of the rides at Alton towers saying people of certain girths wouldn't be able to ride and gave a test seat to try out beforehand. It tended to be the ones that the harness came down from above to hold you in I.e. The ones that went upside down mostly.

dementedpixie · 19/10/2015 17:30

IF you go on the website and go into each ride it tells you the maximum torso girth for them. The few I looked at said a maximum of 51 inches so get measuring to make sure you are ok (I am sure you will be!)

PersonalClown · 19/10/2015 17:35

I'm 6ft, size 16/18 with 36K boobs and managed just fine at Chessington.
Bit of a squish for overhead/shoulder locking restraints but nothing I couldn't handle.

BreadPitt · 19/10/2015 17:49

I went to AT some years ago and I'm pretty ride phobic but DH somehow got me on Oblivion. I ended up in seat 13 (helped me no end that did) and then panicked more as seat 13 had a different seatbelt set up to DH's next to me. The ride attendant explained that seat 13 was for the larger guest so they wouldn't feel embarrassed to go on the rides (I'm a 12 bottom 14 top but ended up in that seat by accident and it was a very very quiet day so only a couple of us on the ride).

I'm guessing this followed through for other rides as well. I'm sure you'll be fine.

saltlakecity · 19/10/2015 18:12

I was fine at Aston Towers at a bigger size than you. Could have even been slightly bigger and would have been fine. Have a good week food wise. It's amazing what 2 lb less can do for bloating. Go for it and enjoy it.

LookAtAllThesePhucksIGive · 19/10/2015 19:48

Santa was that the Gravity Wheel? :o luckily I spotted the issue beforehand and managed open a side gate. I was promptly followed by everyone exiting the ride. No need for turnstiles now it's normal theme park.

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 19/10/2015 20:06

It could have been, I can't quite remember the ride now - just the bloody turnstile!

Glad it's not just me who found it unrealistically small Grin.
