AIBU to suspect that there are a lot of Daily Mail journalists starting threads on here?

Have noticed a lot of goady threads starting lately - just the sort of thing to get the beloved DM readers hot under the collar. Plus, was flicking through the DM's You mag earlier (it was the only thing to read in the coffee shop!) and saw a couple of articles that referenced MN.

I know I'm paranoid, but just seems a bit strange.

A few years ago the Fail actually ran a This Week on Mumsnet section, which necessitated everyone changing their usernames accordingly. Then there was the reporter who was trying to get everyone to tell her how crap their GPs were. One of the best examples EVER of a backfired thread, I think it was even carried on to Twitter.

Yes, I remember the crap GPs thread. But that was legitimately posted in the Journalist Requests section, and the journalist identified herself as writing for the DM.

I do think, as a general rule, that people should be careful what they post on here as the DM (and other papers, to a lesser extent) does pick up on Mumsnet threads, often quoting posters verbatim, even though they don't have their This Week on Mumsnet section any more.

Yes, at least she was honest. I know what you mean though, there do seem to be quite a few GFwind-us-up-and-watch-us-go threads around.

Wouldn't surprise me, DM is full is lazy journalism. Rehashed stories from other papers, Twitter or Facebook or starting goady threads here.
