Both on Graham Norton now.

Can't say a I have much of a thing for either of them, but much is being made of how beautiful Colin is

I don't get it. What am I missing?

Chris has lovely twinkly eyes

Oh, and Colin Farrell sounds just like my brother. He doesn't look like my brother, we'd have to keep the lights on at all times so it wouldn't be just a voice in the dark. Grin

gabsdot45 · 17/10/2015 14:27

Colin is handsome in a classic way, lovely eyes, great hair, nice smile etc. Chris is kind of ugly really, his eyes are too small and he always looks a bit scruffy and unwashed but there is something sexy about him. I think I'd rather have dinner with Chris. I'd imagine he's much more fun.

WaggleBee · 17/10/2015 16:34

What was the adoption joke/story?

Chris O along with Dawn comes across as unbearably smug to me. And weirdly, a bit humourless.

WaggleBee · 17/10/2015 16:34

That's Dawn his wife not Dawn French.

Fiderer · 17/10/2015 17:07

Joke was unfunny even if not told sitting next to someone who adopted a child.

About him taking his dog for a walk in the park along with his 8-ish month old baby and there being lots of Hispanic (?) families picnicking there. He took loads of photos and put them behind other photos in frames.

God it's tedious typing it. How the fuck did he ever think it was funny?

So when the baby grows up and wants a picture or frame he'd say "Take one from upstairs" and the child, an adult by then, would think he or she was adopted.

What The Fuck.

Fiderer · 17/10/2015 17:09

Dawn French took it well, asked him what'd happen when (not if) the child asked to return to the other family.

AnemonesCloser · 17/10/2015 17:26

It was so long and so dull. And he clearly thought it was a hilarious jape.

TittyBiskwits · 17/10/2015 17:53

He's not funny and that 'joke' is painful. He and DOP do come across as smug.

It's a shame because I loved The IT Crowd.

I'd shag Colin Farrell in a heartbeat though (not that I'd get the chance, mind) and I think he's a lot better actor that's he's given credit for. I think his personal life got in the way of his career somewhat.

MrsToddsShortcut · 17/10/2015 18:28

Oh God, I'd forgotten the adoption joke! I was watching with my Mum and we both turned to each other and said "that wasn't funny". It jerked us out of the interview. He just seemed a bit...off?

I missed the first 15 minutes - did RW actually contribute anything, or did I miss it?

WaggleBee · 17/10/2015 19:45

Thanks Fide

That's not funny on any level. Just odd.

I loved The IT Crowd too but in rl neither Chris O or Richard Ayoade come across as people you'd want to know. Chris more so with his smug smug wife.

Bambambini · 17/10/2015 19:50

"I did laugh/cringe when singer and professional Celtic supporter Rod Stewart appeared and referred to Graham, Colin and Chris as 'three republican boys'.

They were so uncomfortable with their 'ummmmm, er yeah' and Rod just didn't get it."

What an idiot, I can just picture it with some tumbleweed rolling by. I've had similar from 2nd generation idiots about sectarianism and they get all tribal and assume you are the same as them.

Riversiderunner · 17/10/2015 19:56

Wish I'd found this thread last night. Was watching by myself and was horrified by the crap adoption story/Dawn French.

Also thought Rachel Weisz v luvvy and awful 'I'm an acTORRR' voice. Plus over worked-out arms and dull.

Quite liked C O'D til the adoption nonsense. And thought CF lovely. And loved Dawn French but felt she seemed a bit unsure of herself surrounded by the others who were full of themselves.

123Jump · 17/10/2015 20:42

What is not to like about Colin Farrell?
He visits sick kids at Christmas.
He is very open and honest about his struggles/emotions with his son.
He fought the booze and won, in Holywood!
He is dreamy, and the fact that no one seems to have a bad word to say about him is telling.
COD is nada.

AnemonesCloser · 17/10/2015 20:44

Ah that little fella in his 'look at me I'm cancer free' t-shirt has given me ALL the feelings Sad Smile
