To think C O'dowd is better looking than C Farrell

Both on Graham Norton now.

Can't say a I have much of a thing for either of them, but much is being made of how beautiful Colin is

I don't get it. What am I missing?

Chris has lovely twinkly eyes

YABU. Colin can lick this cat's flaps any day of the week.

RomComPhooey · 16/10/2015 23:55

Is he.............a bit grumpy and boring?

I'm not interested in him for his temperament or personality. I am idly watching Quantum of Solace on one of the ITV channels at the mo. He's pretty buff.

RomComPhooey · 16/10/2015 23:56

Well, now someone's mentioned Matt Damon, he outranks Daniel Craig in my affections.

jubblie · 16/10/2015 23:56

I have not seen any film with Colin Farrell in that I didn't enjoy. Phonebooth and Frightnight are my faves.

Bridesmaids was mediocre.

RomComPhooey · 16/10/2015 23:57

My friend and I saw Horrible Bosses at the cinema. We didn't realise until the credits rolled that the sleazy drug dealing son was Colin Farrell. He was hilarious and they really made him unattractive and grim in that role.

MrsToddsShortcut · 16/10/2015 23:59

I've never liked Colin much for entirely irrational reasons. I just find him a bit unsavoury. Didn't he once sleep with Britney Spears when she was quite young? (In fairness he may have been young too!). He just looks ill to me.

Chris is almost too self effacing. But the babysitter story was good. Dawn was a teeny bit cringy - did I hallucinate the bit where she explained about wanting Daniel Craig to ride her like a pony to his wife???

AnemonesCloser · 17/10/2015 00:01

I'm not interested in him for his temperament or personality.

Fair enough Grin

But grumpy men tend to be a bit disappointing in the sack.

AnemonesCloser · 17/10/2015 00:01

Love Matt Damon, he seems clever and funny. Most Hollywood actor types take themselves and their craft (Zzzzzzz....) so seriously. Matt would be fun.

RomComPhooey · 17/10/2015 00:04

Matt would be fun.

Agreed.

Bambambini · 17/10/2015 00:04

I think CF is way underrated but I think he has his demons and has been a bit of a twat and a sleaze. I think and hope he's doing better now.

I missed this one, I need to catch it. Really like CF (Tigerland and In Brugges were fantastic). Chris O'D is ok - only really seen him in Bridesmaids but he seems nice. I have a bit of a crush on RW, so beautiful and classic.

AnemonesCloser · 17/10/2015 00:07

Rachel Weisz gets more and more beautiful without looking at all plastic-y.

Witchcraft I suspect.

Tartyflette · 17/10/2015 00:08

Yes it was jubblie' and Chris O'Dowd was terribly miscast. Uh, an Irish cop in the middle of nowheresville? Can't he do the accent?

RomComPhooey · 17/10/2015 00:09

The second series of True Detective was unwatchable in no small part because CF's character was so repellent, IMO. DH and I couldn't bring ourselves to watch it after the 2nd episode, even though we thoroughly enjoyed the first series with Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConoghey.

MrsToddsShortcut · 17/10/2015 00:09

I too have read that DC is a bit grumpy, but he made so I forgive him...

Bambambini · 17/10/2015 00:14

I love that DC and CT comic relief sketch - quite hilarious!

See, I also had a huge crush on Daniel Craig a good few years back. Makes me sound a bit fickle but they are few and far between. Now he's with RW (my female crush) it's all feeling a bit incestuous.

AnemonesCloser · 17/10/2015 00:16

A friend of mine worked on the Special Olympics a few years back when they were being hosted in Dublin and said Colin Farrell was the most involved and enthusiastic celeb they had, going above and beyond. She sings his praises.

Mmmmcake123 · 17/10/2015 00:22

In Bruges, mildy bizarre yet top film, still makes me Hmm but love it all the more fit it!

jubblie · 17/10/2015 00:22

Yes the Daniel Craig Comic Relief stuff was hilarious!

jubblie · 17/10/2015 00:25

Just to add that I have teens who also love phone booth - in fact it's one of their favourite films. No influence from me at all.

honeyroar · 17/10/2015 00:32

I've met Colin. He was lovely. Wasn't greasy at all and had the most gorgeous sparkly brown eyes. He also had a great sense of humour. Not up himself at all.

honeyroar · 17/10/2015 00:35

Ps, I had no idea who Chris O'Dowd was, just googled him. God no! Piggy eyes, not for me at all!

jubblie · 17/10/2015 00:37

Chris O dowd doubters should watch Moone Boy - it's really funny.

AnemonesCloser · 17/10/2015 00:40

I do love Moone Boy. I think his writing skills are definitely better than his acting skills.

Bored12345 · 17/10/2015 00:41

I thought both twatty though. COF seemed thick and like he couldn't be arsed. COD adoption joke was crass especially as sitting next to Dawn French whose daughter is adopted.

AnemonesCloser · 17/10/2015 00:44

Eeek, I missed that.

The Graham Norton show all rests on the chemistry of the guests. And the people who on paper should be entertaining are sometimes quite dull.

My favourite one ever was the Matt Damon, Bill Murray and Hugh Bonneville one. That was fab.
