To find it childishly hilarious whenever someone says "broke wind" instead of Fart.

Call me juvenile and I know it's probably the correct terminology, but I find it hilarious whenever anyone says that they've broken wind instead of just fart.

Yesterday at work someone said just that and it took all of my strength not to burst out laughing. It's just so twee and toe curling. Why not just say that you've farted? And if that's too strong for you then there's always trump, but even that's a bit to twee for me as well.

Why would someone at work need to declare they've farted/broken wind/bottom burped/trumped/guffed whatever you poo/fart trolls like to call it anyway?

GlitteryRollerGirl · 16/10/2015 21:29

That's unusual for a class of kids Cheryl. In my day someone farting during a lesson would have caused much hilarity. Although nothing is as funny as somene farting in assembly it has to be said.

You nearly wet yourself at a non-funny joke? You need to see your GP.

HippyDippyRidingPretty · 16/10/2015 22:11

Okay I'm totally childish and still enjoy toilet humour.

I was raised with the broke wind phrase and it had been drilled into me that it is the polite term.

I regularly join in with my charges and their toilet jokes usually I one up them

Burping and farting, it is funny.

Anyone who pooh poohs it is a stick in the mud!

Classic 'did an angel speak'

GlitteryRollerGirl · 16/10/2015 22:41

Farting is funny though. The day I stop finding it funny is the day I die inside.

I don't like the word "pump" for fart. No idea why. My SIL uses it all the time. Drives me crazy!

00100001 · 16/10/2015 22:50

Qhh, the joys of a fart thread. It compels the likes of usual and twoboys to open the thread, read it and comment to tell us all how terribly immature we are!

Faaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrtttttt

As you are the arsehole that farts so frequently on FWR, I will take that as a compliment, you useless jerk.

AgentZigzag · 16/10/2015 23:02

Just like usual I'm drawn to the fart threads.

I find them funny though.

I must be so immature.

Fairenuff · 16/10/2015 23:05

I think you're childish to find either term 'hilarious'.

They're just words Confused

twoboystwogirls · 16/10/2015 23:08

Glittery, you die inside if you don't find farting funny??

You must have one sad, miserable life!!

AnemonesCloser · 16/10/2015 23:12

Well this thread is going well.......

AgentZigzag · 16/10/2015 23:13

And you're such a bundle of laughs twoboys...

Please, give us an insight into what your sophisticated sense of humour dictates we're permitted to laugh at.

00100001 · 16/10/2015 23:16

twoboystwogirls · 16/10/2015 23:20

I didn't say I was, AGENT! Stop being so aggressive! Every post you make is just so depressingly aggressive.

VulcanWoman · 16/10/2015 23:23

Some people take themselves way too seriously, party farters.

AgentZigzag · 16/10/2015 23:26

'Every post you make is just so depressingly aggressive.'

Hahahaha Grin the irony.

I didn't notice that my RL aggression transferred so much onto MN.

Fairenuff · 16/10/2015 23:27

Do you find the same jokes repeated over and over 'hilarious'?
